Consistently ill-functioning ketone device
Summary: completely inaccurate measurements (simultaneously compared to finger prick blood tests), both patches fell off after three days instead of promised seven. Both me and my wife used the SIBIO together while at the same time testing the measurements with Go Keto Ketone Monitoring System. Also used a Dexcom CGM to track glucose levels and logged everything we ate. Our findings were that ALL twelve measurements we measured with gold standard Go Keto were completely different than what the SiBio device showed a t that specific time with a bandwidth of 60 minutes to correct for any delays. I checked whether there was a consistent deviation between SiBio and Go Keto measurements. There was zero consistency. The measurements of SiBio were completely random when compared to the Go Keto measurements via finger blood pricks. For example, in the cases my wife and I had similar Go Keto ketone levels of 1.2mmol/L, SiBio showed in my case a ketone level of 0.3 and in my wife’s case 1.8. Every SiBio reading was not only way off, there was also no consistency in the deviations. Did emai SiBio about it. They answered my email requesting for the data but did not return out money unequivocally, although they must have known that their product was misleading and not functioning properly due to other customer complaints (including those of a medical research group that I know of).
