I reached out to VanLife through Instagram with a clarifying question about a promotion, and an actual person responded instead of a bot. This means a lot when automated responses are the easy money-making route but data centers are harming our natural world. Also, the person expressed concern with my well-being, which I appreciated. I also appreciate that their latest promotion benefits the Gabby Petito Foundation. I actually cried when I learned she even had a foundation to begin with after watching her documentary, because as a survivor of sexual abuse, it means everything that there are people in the world who are committed to honoring her vision and legacy, and to amplifying the discussion around violence against women. 100/10 stars for choosing to support a nonprofit that might inspire other survivors to use their voice or recognize red flags and trust their intuition.
