No issues so far ... except the activation process
I've used quite a few PDF editor over the years. So far nothing has went wrong. Then again, nothing stellar either....but it's really too soon to tell. On the other hand, having no choice but to sign up for a "free" trial that is actually a time-limited/temporary version that then reverts to a paid version automatically is deceptive. The actual cost and different levels of subscriptions don't even show on the basic web-page. One doesn't see them until you create an account .... and find out that there is no way to just sign up for the "free" version. And when asked about the cost of the software, the Chatbot does not mention all 4 levels, only the "free" and "Pro" levels. It seems not to know his detail. ...and to determine whether or not the "free" version will suffice for my purposes, I'm going to have to cancel the paid version I had to sign up for, figure out how to convert to the "free" version, try it .... and if the "free'" version is insufficient for my needs, convert back to one of the paid versions. Seems somewhat disrespectful of my time and a comfort with deceptive sales tactics on the part of Mobi (in fairness, most of the software manufacturers I deal with seem to have be drinking the same kool-aid and treat their customers like cattle). I let you know my other thoughts in 6.5 days. Tom O'Brien
