Litfad progress update
I purchased an executive desk, sidebar, end-tables, and chairs for my office. While Litfad does state long delivery times (26-31 days for USA), it took even longer - 3 months for all the items I ordered to arrive. The assembly instructions were absent from all the shipments and the ones provided by customer service are extremely poor quality. No parts were labeled with any item. Despite this, the end-tables and chairs were easy enough to assemble. The sidebar was a challenge but doable in the end even though it was missing some of the predrilled locations and less critical parts. The desk, however, was unusable as it was delivered missing drawer pieces, and over half of the 3-in-1 cam lock holes were absent and predrilled locations for drawer hardware were likewise missing. The desk is also not the color that was advertised. Customer service, while usually responsive within a day, never actually makes efforts to correct problems or remedy defects. Given the mountain of complaints about Litfad, I wished I had researched them more before purchasing from them. I won't be repeating that mistake. UPDATE 8/9/2026: Litfad's canned response (seen in other negative reviews) sounds nice. And if they would have started with this instead of arguing with me for a week about whether or not the desk was sent with missing and defective parts, I would have never gone public with a negative review. The two emails I have received from their customer service since leaving this review and informing them that refusing a remedy would result in my disputing the entire charge with my cc company has been to offer a 15% discount off another purchase and "apology gift" options of night lamps and thermos bottles. A $50 gift (and that's being very generous in my value assignment) versus a $1500 desk that can not be assembled, would be laughable were it no so insulting. No surprise, but the customer service email were missing both their "Options 1 & 2" in their response, which is to replace the item at no cost or replace with a similar item covering up to 20% if that similar item is more expensive. I'll screenshot their response regarding the Option 1 & 2 and we'll see what their customer service has to say. Maybe they'll surprise me and do what's right. If so, I will gladly report that and alter my review. If not, I will likewise add that to this review. UPDATE 9/9/2026: Upgrading from 1 star to 2 stars as the Litfad customer support did agree to replace the desk. At a full month from my previous update, the desk is currently half way across the Pacific ocean. When the desk arrives, likely in another month, I will inspect and update with another star if this remedies the previous defects. UPDATE 10/22/2026: Desk arrived on 10/12/2026. 2 Star will be the most I can muster as this desk is in the same condition as the previous. Which is to say, it is not the actual color I picked (in fact it looks to be random parts thrown together) and there are scratches, dents, and dings that really are not acceptable for a desk of this value. And as before, the desk drawers are just random parts and pieces that do not assemble without the aid of a professional cabinetry shop. Best I can tell, Litfad is selling the rejects and 2nds from a reputable manufacturer or retailer. To their credit, they did send me a second desk for free but it being the same drawer less desk as before, that does not really solve my problem. Having paid for this desk over six months ago, I'm moving on. I did receive some decent items from them, so it wasn't all bad. But for me, I will absolutely never purchase from them again. The same items for similar costs can be found elsewhere on the internet. And that's what I will be doing for the remaining offices I am furnishing. In summary, buyer beware. Likely, you will receive your item, however you WILL wait longer to receive it from Litfad than from other major online retailers. Odds are good that it will not be in pristine condition when it arrives and it may or may not assemble correctly.
