Recently ordered a Daily Carry Co Titanium Parachute Knife. Knife arrived quickly with great packaging and some extra goodies. Upon further inspection, I was sent the aluminum version of the knife instead of the Titanium one that I ordered . Phone call to customer service to be told I had actually received a Titanium model , when I asked why the box said Aluminum the conversation changed to “ sorry about that , we will switch it out for you” then as luck would have it “ oops we’re are out of that one , but we do have another model for twice the price” , which I offered to to pay half the difference which is what I can buy the knife direct from Daily Carry Co with a military discount. Then was told “ nope according to policy we can only do exchanges for the exact amount and not even allow to purchase a more expensive model because that would violate their policy” . So ….. long story short, for shopping at Blade HQ. I get the added frustration of waiting to receive the wrong product and offer no other solution but to send it back because they were out of the one that I actually ordered in the first place. Makes you wonder if they were hoping I wouldn’t know the difference between Titanium and Aluminum. At any rate , that is not my first purchase from them , but will be the last. I just can’t see spending money and time for their compounding error only to be told I get to send it back. Honestly a discount code, a genuine sorry or even the ability to have a choice of another knife would have gone a very long way. To have no choice and be quoted company policy instead of options is a real non-starter for me . Blade HQ could and should do much better.
