DO NOT BUY AN APPLIANCE OR EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM HOME DEPOT. I purchased a GE Profile front load washer in May, 2025. I purchased extended warranty also, serviced by Allstate. My washer has developed a scum on the outside of the drum and under the rubber seal. A technician was sent and he told me it happens on some models. The store should replace the unit. I did not get the technician report in writing. I have been told it is a maintenance issue. I did not properly maintain the washer. They are not able to tell me what I did not do. I followed maintenance instructions per manual. Home Depot or Allstate will not replace unit. I have been dealing with this for a month. The corporate office said they could send a technician at my expense. Gone are the days of quality appliances and sellers standing behind products.
