Buyer beware
I have been on Wingtalks for just on 12 months, & in that time I have learned much about how it all works. First the good points. The platform is easy to use & has a good user friendly interface. The ladies here are a mix of obvious fake profiles that are easy to spot by the repetitive messaging, but also many genuine members who are eager to chat with you, and in no time they will swear their love & devotion to you. This leads to the site’s biggest drawback – its cost. Although it is free to join & browse all the lovely profiles, you really can’t do anything unless you purchase credits, and over time, purchasing credits can get very expensive as I found out. “Chatting” is a little annoying for the cost is based on a time limit of 1 minute per 2 credits & each chat is limited to 300 characters, so you need to be creative. If you stuck to chat, the cost probably isn’t too bad, but you will soon be bombarded with letters with embedded photos, videos & a lovely type of chat called “exclusive post” It is these features that will quickly drain your credits & bank balance & if you don’t open them, the ladies will simply pout & make you feel quite guilty. Do not believe for 1 moment this is a dating site – it is not. Any attempt to exchange private contact detail is blocked by the site & you’ll notice the ladies are very noncommittal in helping you. Why? This is where it gets interesting. From my experience I believe ALL the profiles you see are what are referred to as “Top Users” These members do NOT pay to use the platform, they can chat, send photos, videos etc. for no cost, whilst you have to spend a good amount of credits (money) to view them. It is said it is this way to keep the platform active, but in my view, it is very unfair. It would be a much better platform if ALL members shared in its operating costs. You can apply to attain this status, but good luck. I tried & was rejected twice. Ladies I’ve spoken with seemed to indicate it was a given once they verified their identity, so who knows. I do not know if it works the same way for women who join the site, but I’d be curious. Now it is possible to request the contact detail of members (subject to their approval), however you need to spend 5,000 credits on them before you can apply. That is a minimum of approx. $1,250 US That’s just plain ridiculous! If, like me, you’ve had enough of being here & wish to leave, it’s not as simple as hitting the “delete profile” in your account settings. They want to hang onto you for as long as possible & ignore your requests. All they care about is making money. It is a battle even to get off! If they think they can get you to keep spending money – even at a discounted price, they’ll bend over backwards to help you, but as soon as they know you’re serious about leaving, they don’t want to know. Hopeless! Conclusion: If you’re looking to find that special person where you can form a true relationship with & meet up, you’re on the wrong site. Avoid. Go elsewhere & save your money. If however you are willing to spend a large amount of money to have all your whims & fetishes exercised, and really are quite OK with the fact it’s not real & will never be, then go for it. You have been warned. Buyer beware.
