It was such a special and meaningful experience. Not only because we took part in the purification ritual, but also because we truly felt cared for throughout the whole experience. They took the time to explain the meaning behind every step, every chant we repeated, and even every splash of water we immersed ourselves in. Putu and her cousin learned this tradition from their grandmother, who was a priestess, and it was very special to experience this knowledge being passed down through generations. Thank you so much to Putu and her cousin for keeping this beautiful tradition alive, and to the whole team for sharing it with us, explaining its meaning, and taking such good care of us. It was also a pleasure to support this kind of sustainable and responsible tourism — one that values, respects, and helps preserve local knowledge and traditions. This will be one of the most precious memories I take with me from Bali and Balinese culture — a memory I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Highly recommended! 🌺🙏🏽
