Warranty issue for a F450 tranny purchased in Feb 2026
I ordered a tranny for a F450 in Feb 2026. Delivery good, install good. Warranty issue needed only after a few months and a few thousand miles. There was much scrutiny by Street Smart for info, photos, error codes and who knows what else required by Street Smart from my repair shop before authorizing repair. Not included in the warranty info, they send USED AND DAMAGED parts to my repair shop for the fix is what my repair shop informed me. Initially a bad temp sensor was the problem, they sent a USED sensor and not a new one, it did not fix the problem. Now maybe it's the wire harness, a USED wire harness sent does not easily install into the trans body. Street Smart did not even send a trans pan gasket. I'm not impressed with the warranty promise.
