My search for finding the right teaching job
Finding the right teaching job was a journey of self-discovery that completely shifted my perspective on education. At first, high-tech charter schools with flexible layouts and project-based learning models caught my eye because they looked modern and exciting. However, as I went through the application and interview process through teacherrecord.com, I learned that a school's flashy resources matter much less than its daily work culture and leadership support. Next time, I would do things differently by prioritizing conversations with current teachers at the school to get an honest look at their workload and job satisfaction, rather than letting a beautiful campus or a fancy website make the decision for me.
