Extremely disappointing and misleading…
Extremely disappointing and misleading experience with RedBus. I booked an Orbit bus from Amritsar to Chandigarh through RedBus, paying ₹700 per ticket, specifically because the listing clearly stated that the bus was a **Mercedes-Benz AC bus**. When the bus actually arrived, it was NOT a Mercedes-Benz. It was an ordinary AC bus with extremely dirty seats, very small and uncomfortable seating, and an overall terrible travel experience. The condition of the bus was nowhere close to what was advertised. If RedBus clearly mentions “Mercedes-Benz” on the app, then that is what the customer should get. You cannot advertise one type of bus, charge a premium for it, and then send a completely different, inferior bus. I would have NEVER booked this bus had I known what I was actually going to get. I contacted RedBus customer support multiple times. Their response was that they could offer me a ₹200 refund. But honestly, that is not the point. The issue is that I paid ₹700 for a service that was falsely represented. Once you're standing on the road waiting for your booked bus, you cannot simply refuse it and start searching for another bus. RedBus put me in that situation by providing something completely different from what was advertised. What makes this even worse is their absolutely pathetic customer service. I was told that the matter would be escalated and I explicitly said YES, please escalate it. After that? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. They stopped responding and never followed up. I have essentially been ghosted by customer support. This is not just about ₹200. It is about misleading customers, taking their money, providing an inferior service, and then refusing to take responsibility for it. RedBus needs to understand one very basic thing: if you advertise a Mercedes-Benz, provide a Mercedes-Benz. Don't advertise something premium, charge premium prices, and then send a completely different bus. After this experience, I would strongly advise people to think twice before trusting the bus details shown on RedBus, because apparently what is written on the app cannot be relied upon — and when things go wrong, getting a proper response from customer support is another struggle altogether. Very poor service. Very poor accountability. Very poor customer support.
