Very disappointing experience with Alibaba Trade Assurance. I purchased an industrial machine through Alibaba. The machine failed after operating for less than two months. I provided Alibaba and the supplier with photographs, videos, the motor specifications, electrical measurements, and documentation regarding the failure. The machine uses a 220V/60Hz motor. I documented the electrical supply and provided evidence showing the voltage was within the applicable operating tolerance. Despite this, Alibaba denied my refund without providing technical evidence demonstrating that the electrical supply caused the failure. My biggest concern is not simply that the machine failed. Industrial equipment can fail. My concern is that after providing substantial evidence and giving Alibaba an opportunity to resolve the matter, Trade Assurance did not provide what I believed would be meaningful protection for a defective product.
