AVOID OR ASK FOR A GUARANTEE BEFORE…
AVOID OR ASK FOR A GUARANTEE BEFORE BUYING I purchased the Carlinkit Tbox Max Android 13.0 Wireless CarPlay Multimedia Video Box from CarlinkitCarPlay.com at the end of May for £155.00 The product worked reasonably well for the first couple of months. However, after that, the box started restarting by itself repeatedly, eventually becoming unusable. I contacted the company for support. After around 10 emails back and forth, I was told that I needed to send the faulty unit back to China at my own expense so they could examine it. Only after they received and inspected it would they decide what I was entitled to receive in return. One thing worth mentioning is that their customer service communication has been extremely slow. They generally respond only once per day, which makes an already frustrating process unnecessarily long. I also only realised after purchasing that the company is based in China, which is something I would have considered before buying had it been clearer to me. So, based on my experience, if you are considering buying from them, I strongly recommend asking for a clear written guarantee/warranty covering faults for at least 3 months before placing your order. Otherwise, be aware that if something goes wrong, you may be responsible for the cost and inconvenience of returning the product to China. I’m sharing my experience simply so other customers know what to expect and can make an informed decision before purchasing. £155.00 is not a small amount to spend on a product that stops working after a couple of months. My advice: ask about the warranty and return costs BEFORE you buy.
