HTVRONT

Almost $3,000 for a printer that barely lasted a year

Title: Nearly $3,000 Spent on a Printer That Barely Lasted a Year — Very Disappointing Support I purchased the HTVRONT D1 DTF Printer in July 2025 for almost $3,000, expecting a reliable machine for my small business. Unfortunately, the printer has never worked 100% properly, and I’ve been contacting customer support about different issues since the beginning. After just over a year, my printer is no longer working, and I still don’t have a clear diagnosis. Technical support has been extremely frustrating. Communication is mainly through emails, with long delays between troubleshooting steps. There is no local authorized repair service in my area, and the repair facility is in California, meaning I would have to pay to ship this large, heavy machine across the country. HTVRONT initially told me that a loose motherboard connector was causing the problem. However, a local technician determined that the connector was not the issue. He couldn’t complete further testing because replacement parts are not readily available. HTVRONT then quoted me $400 for a new motherboard and another $400 for a printhead, while admitting that the chances of successfully repairing my printer were low. And their suggestion? Would I be interested in purchasing their newer D2 printer? After spending nearly $3,000 on a machine that has given me problems since the beginning, why would I feel confident investing in another one? My biggest concern isn’t simply that the printer broke. It’s that when something goes wrong, there doesn’t seem to be a practical, affordable way to get it repaired. For anyone considering this printer for a small business, I strongly recommend researching the warranty, replacement parts, and repair options before purchasing. A machine at this price point should last longer than a year, and reliable after-sales support should be part of the investment. I’m extremely disappointed with my experience and cannot recommend this printer based on the reliability and support I’ve received.
