DFH Logistics

DFH failed to deliver on their contract

We hired DFH Logistics to ship approximately 4,000 kg of industrial equipment from China to Dallas, Texas, under a DDP shipping arrangement. To be fair, communication with their China team, particularly Laura Luo and Sarah, was initially good. They provided updates, photographs, and shipment information. Although the shipment was delayed more than 40 days due primarily to the ocean carrier, that was not our main complaint. The real problems began at their Houston warehouse, identified as BLUE-XH, located at 6216 Dixie Drive, Houston, TX. Before delivery, I specifically instructed the Houston contact, Sky, how the equipment needed to be positioned on the truck for safe unloading. Those instructions were not followed, resulting in a failed delivery and approximately $5,700 in labor and forklift expenses. Despite paying for DDP delivery to Dallas, DFH could not resolve the problem with its warehouse partner. Instead, we were required to pay another $2,000 and travel to Houston to recover our own equipment. At the warehouse, we found damaged wooden packaging and requested assistance dismantling the crate. Afterward, warehouse personnel attempted to charge us for leaving the dismantled wood. When we questioned the charge, a representative responded with offensive profanity. The most disappointing part was DFH’s inability to hold its Houston warehouse partner accountable or resolve the situation without imposing additional costs on us. We paid for delivery to Dallas but ultimately had to recover the machinery ourselves, at significant additional expense. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend DFH Logistics or its Houston warehouse partner, BLUE-XH, for industrial equipment shipments. — Talbott Engineering
