My husband went to Affordable Dentures & Implants because he was on Kentucky Medicaid and wanted dentures. Before his teeth were extracted, we discussed the treatment plan and were led to believe his dentures would be covered. Based on those discussions, he agreed to have all of his teeth removed. After the extractions, we were repeatedly told everything was moving forward. Then, on the day he was supposed to receive his dentures, we were told they were not covered and that we would have to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket. As a result, my husband was left completely without teeth. Had we been told before the extractions that there was any question about coverage, he would have never agreed to have all of his teeth removed without knowing he could actually receive dentures. This experience has been financially and emotionally devastating. I would encourage anyone considering treatment to get every insurance approval and coverage decision in writing before agreeing to extractions.
