Simple & Quick Claim Service
We booked our cruise 2 years in advance with Allianz travel insurance. Unfortunately, a few weeks before our cruise date, my wife developed a serious infection that required immediate surgery and hospitalization with her doctor putting her off activity for many months. As a result, we had to miss going on the scheduled cruise and it was too close to the cruise date to get a refund from the cruise line. Our AAA travel agent recommended filing a claim with Allianz and worked with us, Allianz, and the cruise line to cancel the cruise and get the required documentation needed to process a claim. With the required documentation in hand, I went to the Allianz claims website, filled-in their online form, and uploaded the documentation. Our travel agent followed-up with Allianz on the status of our claim and was able to answer a question on the amount claimed. Allianz quickly processed the claim and deposited a full refund for the cost of our cruise--all within 4 weeks. We are definitely fans of their service and have used them for many years for insuring our travels.
