This platform is another one of those promises but no delivery sites. I have been doing reviews on these sites to filter out the scams from the genuine money worth sites and this one is absolutely a stay away.

Please warn everyone about ByteDance, especially its BytePlus AI video-generation platform, which uses Dreamina Seedance 2.5. In my experience, the platform charges users unexpectedly while they are simply trying to create experimental videos for testing purposes. The "Get Plan" section is particularly concerning. After purchasing a plan, if you are unfamiliar with how the platform works, you may accidentally end up purchasing multiple plans at the same time without receiving clear warnings, transparent explanations, or detailed instructions on how the billing system works. I believe these billing practices are extremely misleading and deceptive. From my experience, this feels like a scam. Please spread the word and warn as many people as possible so that others do not end up in the same situation. Stay cautious, protect your money, and good luck to everyone!
Very Disappointing Experience – Unfair Charges and Poor Quality
Extremely disappointed with my experience! This website feels like a complete scam and a trap for customers. This is absolutely not how you should treat paying customers or build trust with new ones. You charge more than expected, yet the quality of the products is so poor that they might as well go straight into the trash. It is unacceptable to take customers' hard-earned money and deliver such disappointing quality. Customers deserve honesty, transparency, fair pricing, and products that are actually worth what they pay for. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. I feel misled, overcharged, and extremely disappointed. A total waste of money! I strongly do not recommend this website. Think twice before spending your money here.
You are unfair!
You are unbelievably unfair to allow us charge 5 Dollars in the account but require 30 Dollar top up to let us use your models which don't have a trial by the way! And then when I ask my money back I don't get it!! What do you call that??
100USD lost for nothing
I paid $100 to BytePlus ModelArk specifically to use the Seedance 2.5 API. After payment, I discovered that I could not activate the service because BytePlus requires a VAT/GST ID to complete my Business Account. My business is not currently required to have one. BytePlus confirmed that this requirement cannot be waived. I requested a refund immediately. They refused because purchased credits are “non-refundable”. The way this system works is particularly concerning: you first deposit money into a general BytePlus credit balance, while activation of Seedance is a separate step requiring a verified account. BytePlus may argue that my credits can theoretically be spent on other BytePlus products or that there was notifications. That completely misses the point: I did not deposit $100 to randomly consume other BytePlus services. I deposited it specifically to use Seedance 2.5, which they cannot provide to me. Even more concerning, BytePlus’ own Billing documentation says: “You must complete the account setup before purchasing services, otherwise, you cannot make a purchase.” Yet they accepted my $100 for API while my account still had a mandatory verification requirement that prevents me from using the service I came for. Then their policy says purchased credits cannot be withdrawn. In my opinion, this combination — take the money first, block the intended service at a separate verification/activation stage, then refuse to return the balance — is deeply deceptive and completely untrustworthy. I strongly recommend staying away from BytePlus / ModelArk. I would not trust this company with my money or my clients.

Rating should be 0 for this. I just saw a good deal 0.98 dollars so I just paid and then saw they won't let me generate any video... Instantly I understood it's a scam..... I almost instantly deleted the account... and also blocked my card will be changing that assuming the scam might be dragged further.
Beware
Beware! This company makes it practically impossible to unsubscribe. Even the help desk can’t seem to find the unsubscribe link. I’ve had around eight messages from them directing me to pages that don’t exist and buttons that simply don’t appear on my account. We’re now two days into trying to cancel and still no further forward. Meanwhile, they continue attempting to take more than £200 from my account. A very frustrating experience, and something worth being aware of before signing up.
I purchased a 3 month modelark lite…
I purchased a 3 month modelark lite plan and it couldn't even complete a single simple task. it was a simple task which free ai chat models could generate without any issue and this paid plan hit quota even before churning out anything. Like everyone said, no refund. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
Don't recommend
I just subscribe and tried to create video. Upload 2 images of the model (completely ai generated) and tried to create video. It took my credits and didn't generate video. It says "The input may contain real people", I tried with different images. Complete waist of time.
Terrible (No refund, bad UI, gated models)
Terrible - From the UI, to the account managers (Evelyn Sun was useless & only sent automated emails, did nothing when I said about a refund), models are extremely gated, I was trying to use their version of Seedance 2.0 for AI UGC, unable to generate human likeness, ridiculous. Worst of all they never gave me a refund, the UI makes it a nightmare and account managers do nothing.
Very disappointing experience
I purchased credits from BytePlus to create a video, but the video was never generated, even after trying multiple times. What made the experience even worse was that I couldn’t find a clear way to request a refund or even an easy way to contact their support team. According to their refund policy, refunds are not available in these situations, which is extremely frustrating when the service itself didn’t work. Very disappointing experience. I do not recommend BytePlus at all.
Terrible
Terrible! Credits have limitations for example you can buy 1000 credits but only about 600 or so of those are actually usable for video generation. Support says it's clear on their pricing page - I've used all the major AI video providers and none have this dishonest and misleading practice. Stay away. Great models and probably nice for bigger businesses, but as a customer/user, go to other platforms like Topview, etc. Asked for a refund and they said no.
Waste of time
Doesn't generate videos that contain a human created by its own AI, so offers a statue instead, like really!!! Also gets stuck on storyboarding. Joined today, wasted money, and have unsubscribed today. Would like a refund, as the credits I purchased are still there. I can't do anything with them. I'm reporting this company.
The worst experience in every aspect
The worst experience in every aspect. And this business is cheating me and taking my money and time. 1. I purchased Dreamina Seedance 2.0, the Light plan for $30. Then I could NOT generate a single video and the error message said I reached the inference limit. 2. When contacting the online support, a sales agent reached out and explained I needed to go through enhanced verification which is applied to business users. When I said I was an individual customer, she asked me to subscribe to Lumina instead. There was no transparency from the purchasing point. 3. When I contacted the centre for a refund, they refused to refund and said individual customers could use Dreamina. I was super confused. Then I asked for instruction, they said I'd reached my inference limit. Then I screen shot my usage, which is 0 and asked for further explanation. 4. All the staff (sales agent and technical support person) were super unhelpful. Their messages were always short and not self-explanatory.

Be aware of this seller, when they have sold item for you and it was a good deal they just chancel it as " sorry but it is out of stock and we do not know when its back" THO it IS in stock right after they chancel it but have lifted the price up..
Looks Cheap Until You Use It: Buyer Beware
I purchased the ModelArk Coding Plan. because the advertised quota appeared very generous. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. Before I even finished my first coding task, around half of my 5hr-session quota had already been consumed. The way quota is calculated was far less transparent than I expected, and it was impossible for me to predict how much usage a normal coding session would consume. I also found the subscription management experience frustrating. I could not find a clear way to cancel the subscription, confirm whether automatic renewal was disabled, or remove my saved payment card from my account. The product did not appear in the normal unsubscription section, and removing credit card, which made the process confusing. When I contacted support, I received a generic response pointing to the no-refund policy without addressing my concerns about the quota calculation or providing the detailed usage information I requested. If you are considering this service, I strongly recommend that you also compare with other services. My experience did not match my expectations based on the product description, and I would not purchase this service again.

The worse experience I had in a long time now. They have limits on features that everyone else (Google Flow, Kling, 3rd parties) includes, and they do not mention these limitations anywhere (unless you read all their docs/policies before purchasing), and to get access to those features you have to negotiate with their sales team and so on and so forth. They don't offer trials and they don't provide refunds either, so I guess the majority pays for a plan, it's too late when they find out that they can't get what they want, and they can't get a refund, so they barely spend the tokens... That means the platform earns but doesn't spend on compute. 100% sure that this pattern is not a coincidence and chances are they designed it this way. That's the definition of a SCAM (dressed in legit clothes)!
