It's a good ripper but other emanates are sub par. When dealing with TV shows not all TV's shows show up in the search. An older version was better at making the show episodes populate when ripping a DVD or Blu-ray. This is a huge issue if you like TV shows.

Keeps Getting Better

I've used this software for many years and watched it grow and improve steadily. Ease of use combined with the deep level of control keeps me from using anything else.

Good Program but there is room for improvement

I use it to copy my DVDs/BluRays to my mediacenter. For this ist works like a charm. But when copying tv shows it takes some work. By default it only selects the longest Title. For shows with a double length pilot it would discard the whole season except the pilot. It sorts the titles by length. And one cannot change the label of a copied disk. As this label is used to name the iso file it may collide when copying multiple disks. (I use it to convert faster)

Good value for money and copies most blu ray's without any problems

It is simple to use, with a clear menu and copies most discs without any issues. I would like to be able to extract Subtitles but unfortunately I've not been able to do this, although I realise it's possible to add external subtitles to videos they're not always accurate with words missing or different captions from the spoken word which is why I would like to be able to extract subtitles from the discs.

This is some GREAT software! Works very well (i have not done any BR's). Sone of the custom setting can be a little trial and error... but overall, I wholeheartedly recomend it. MSA

Continue handling the review

I wrote a review here a few days ago. I have been a customer of dvdfab for many years and they have not been problematic. Maybe there are problems with the company that we the customers are not aware of. In any case, they wrote to me here and directed me to support on the company's website. I contacted and even attached their answer from here. What did they do?--Just nothing. They just transferred my request to the processed cases folder.

For anyone who intends to purchase a dvdfab product as part of the purchase, you can become a member of the technical forum for the products. The problem is that the person who runs the forum is a bad person called cat4u. He blocked me due to my complaints on the forum regarding a problem downloading from YouTube. He claims that I complained too much and that is not allowed. You don't get what you paid for, but you shouldn't complain too much because he claims that this is done so that you have many posts as if it were Instagram, which I assume makes a financial profit from. If you want a dvdfab product, consider it even though they really do have excellent products. I have many of their products and the only problematic product is streamfab. Attached is the message I received from the bad forum administrator.

I was blocked on the streamfab forum. Unblock me immediately, otherwise I will have no choice but to turn to YouTube, Facebook, and other online sources. I am angry--that's true. I followed all the forum's terms, but I was blocked because I wrote too many posts. And why did I write too many posts--because since the last update, it's not possible to download movies from YouTube.

It has a lot of features. It IS expensive, but you get your money's worth if you commit to it.

Scam

Scam! I was given a discount code but given nowhere to enter it. You click to buy a product, it automatically brings up your card details via some third party app, then has a button saying "Continue to Checkout" (presumably where the code box is...) But the next page isn't a a checkout page, instead it just instantly takes your money. I didn't receive any confirmation email or login details. So this website has just taken $35 from my bank and given me nothing in return. Now have to go through my bank's fraud department to get the money returned Update: I contacted the company to request a refund and they say that, although they have a 7-day money back guarantee, they refuse to issue a refund. I’ve had to cancel my debit card and get the money back from my bank so please avoid this scam!

Terrible Experience

Terrible Experience bought, but despite authorization code sent, email sent to, they couldn't find info - nothing but a hassle for a month, and they kept returning to same response, please send info - but I did, and they kept saying cannot find - I have a code, but wouldn't work - so ... do you want to buy without any certainty as to whether it will work for you? Willing to spend hundreds to find out? Bit of a gamble, but if they cannot find, they cannot help, will send you in circles, and again and again, but gets nowhere

I've tried subscribing to DVDFab twice

I've tried subscribing to DVDFab twice, six months apart, but at no point was I ever able to burn a disc. The first time, it would burn discs that wouldn't play on any blu-ray players. Support was unable to help me, though they were polite. Six months later, having bought a new blu-ray burner and having burned hundreds of blu-rays successfully using other software, I wanted to try again. This time around, I can't even get DVDFab to authorize my computer, despite having paid over $120 on a license several days ago. So here I am again, having paid DVDFab a large sum of money for a service I cannot use at all and about to ask for a refund once again. I'm an IT professional and have done my best to troubleshoot these issues, using a VPN, using just my raw connection, flushing my DNS, restarting my computer, doing updates, reinstalling the software, changing the installation configuration, on and on. It just shouldn't be this difficult to use a program that is this expensive. Update: Yes, I have tried updating the host file. And turning off my firewall. And turning off my antivirus. And reinstalling the program. I actually opened a ticket with your support team over a week ago - it's been over a week after spending $150 on your shoddy product without being able to use it once - and your support team has been gaslighting me with every nonsense, broken workaround that does nothing in order to refuse to give me a refund in the meantime, despite that that's what I asked for the second day I realized your product doesn't work.

It works but some uhd drives are not supported for backing up your blu-rays even after the downgrading for it and cinavia protection is promissing for over a year that there will be a solving the problem update but it never comes so maybe after another 3 years ?

I've been a longtime user

I've been a longtime user. I've watched your product grow and get constantly better over the years. What is missing for me, is when you are ripping discs, a "select all" function when choosing components. I would really like to see that added.

the product works well

the product works well, I do wish documentation was a bit more robust, however my experience with tech support has been overall very good - it sometimes takes a few times back and forth, but they do respond and will stick with you till it's taken care of. I'd like a little more flexibility in customizing layout, etc. but overall very happy.

Long time user and still happy

DVDFAB: I would pick no stars if I could. I ordered the lifetime DVDFab downloader. When I installed the software, I never received a license as a paid customer and the software would only act as if I were using it for free. I wrote to DVDFab. They gave me links to download again, which I did. But nothing changed. Frustrated, I requested a refund as I literally got NO PRODUCT for what I paid for well within their 14-day refund guarantee. I've used other similar services and you always get a license as a paid customer. Every message back from DVDFab is a deferral and delay telling me to do something else. But everything I tried did not work. DVDFab REFUSES to return my payment. DVDFab is a total RIPOFF. Do NOT purchase their software. It's a scam. Their marketing is misleading. 18 SEP 2024: FURTHER UPDATE: After repeated back-and-forth with DVDFab, I finally downloaded DVDFab's streaming software (from the link DVDFab provided) and promptly started getting "Pirated DVDFab Detected" notices every time I used it. And I would get the "Pirated DVDFab Detected" notice not only when trying to use DVDFab's software, but when I would log onto my computer. DVDFab instructed me to uninstall and then reinstall. I uninstalled the software, but I am not willing to reinstall. I have had nothing but trouble with their software. (Note: I have used other similar software so I am not a complete novice. I tried DVDFab as I set up a new computer.) DVDFab refuses to refund me. Even though I clearly, and repeatedly, requested a refund within days of purchasing their product. Their customer service answers you with what they want to answer. They ignore and never respond to the fact that I requested a refund, repeatedly. Therefore to help others so they don't get ripped off like I did, I am warning you: DO NOT PURCHASE FROM DVDFAB. It's false advertising. There is no 14-day refund policy. DVDFab is a total FRAUD. (If I help prevent one person from purchasing from DVDFab, I will at least feel a bit better.)

its not that great

its not that great. Every time I click on the image to get server info, it stops responding. This has happen for years since i started using it. I have complain about it and all they told me is to reinstall it. Well, How many times do you want me to reinstall it!
