I have a collection of DVD's all bought between 2005 and 2012, nothing new. All commercial music DVD'S, some with different regions. Firstly you should know that this program (nor any other I have been able to find) will " rip any DVD" they will not! I have tried quite a few, including Handbrake with libdvdcss add on and VLC as well as another paid for DVD ripper. My discs have been in storage for about 10 years and hardly used, so they are in pretty good shape. Out of about 150 discs I have 9 that will not rip. The programs either get stuck on "analysing disc" or rip half way (using your time) and then stop. Nothing will rip them. Second, I can really only speak about the ripping function as I have been ripping my collection to ISO clone copies, but no disc will rip in 5 minutes, they take an average of 40 minutes, some more, some less but 5 minutes is just not true. I tried the free version of DVDFab before buying it because I wanted to know if it would rip the discs the others wouldn't before spending the money. The free version does not offer ripping to ISO clone, but it did make an MP4 of one disc the others wouldn't, so kudos for that. But the advertisement about "rip any DVD should be rip "almost" any DVD. It also did something the others didn't which was import metadata on the disc. After ripping 1000's of CD'S I am used to this information being imported with the rip, something other programs don't offer. Bottom line is that wether or not it's a region issue, or a protection issue, it WILL NOT RIP ANY DVD.

Thank you for your reply. I would probably buy your program IF I could verify that it works for ALL DVD's. You might consider allowing 3 free ISO file rips in your trial version. Your software is not cheap, I have already been caught once buying a program that promised "Any DVD" but wouldn't. It wouldn't cost you to allow 3 free ISO rips with your trial version,most people have 100's of DVD's to rip. I won't pay that kind of money again unless I know that it will actually rip "any DVD". Just something for you to consider. Also, read the reviews, previously when I needed help from the software I bought mails were returned blocked from all of their addresses, leaving me stranded and with zero support or way to contact them. With respect, Chinese companies need to up their support and contact ability, it is a common complaint in the reviews.

About the "Analyzing" DVD process, please go to Common Settings>DVD>Pathplayer of DVDFab, and then disable Pathplayer to load the movie again.
As for the copying time problem, it depends on many factors. It would be helpful if you could restart your computer to repeat the process and then submit feedback through the program so that we can receive your log files and look into them for you.

Works great on DVDs; slow on Bluray; output quality is excellent. However, have had some output USB drive corruption, causing reformatting and data loss.
can copy any Blue Ray fomat, but have a little pro blem when copy Sub
Pefect when copy DVD or Blue Ray fomat. judt put the Disc in and do some thing else, but can't do like that when copy sub becau se it stop and ask ok or not I mean when copy Sub I have to sit there wait until it finish and some time sub can't copy or wrong sub

Too bad to have different licenses for DVD Copy and DVD RIP... Due to this I use another produce..
There is a full license for all in one, but it is too expensive
Tried to rip one dvd (system partition had 12,5gb free, destination over 20gb, iso file was estimated at <8gb) and it failed multiple times at different stage WITHOUT leaving any clues what's wrong. That's juts not right.

I find DVDFab completely unreliable. Discs that are accepted by other sites for burning DVDs are rejected by DVDFab over and over again. Then, if I return to the site after a couple of days a disc that was rejected is accepted - but usually only the first disc. The company told me to reload the software or pay more for a higher quality. I don't wish to pay more and reloading did not work.

This software always performs tasks correctly. I bought the "lifetime" version and the promises are kept. I have changed my computer several times in six years. I followed the transfer rules and it works perfectly on my last computer. Updates are assured. The settings sometimes seems unclear to me but I always managed to do what I wanted.
I have used this for years and am satisfied with its results. I build a library I use through a local Plex server and most of the time these play perfectly. Once in a while, although the video DVDFab plays fine elsewhere, they fail in my Plex library. I don't fault DVDFab for this and have recently discovered a conversion option within Plex that fixed a few. It's a work in progress.
Top Notch Product for backing up movie discs to manageable formats. Not cheap - but very very effective. Buy good drives that are supported and a GPU that can handle transcoding tasks well and you are off to the races... You can even queue up multiple isos and convert them overnight. It also pulls down movie information so that your media library has an easier task of recognizing ripped media.
Depending on which features you need, the price may add up and cost you a bit extra, but it works almost allways. There are quite few alternatives for managing 4K discs out there. They also seems to be dedicated to deliver good support and keep up with update demands.
I buy A Lifetime version with all DVD Fab Features included, but the converter Funktion Doesn go: it will link me to Unifab!!!

In around 2010 I purchased lifetime DVD copy & lifetime DVD ripper which came with product key back then. Then about 5 years later I purchased separately the full lifetime software package which I think was around $350-$500 aud & then a few years later I lost the product key for the original purchase DVD copy & ripper I had saved on my laptop so contacted dvdfab support 3 times over a month asking for a new product key or way to activate it again only to be completely ignored all 3 times with no reply at all. They only reply if they want to, I've had other inquiries that they've had no problem replying to. So yeah do not pay any money to them what so ever, it's expensive & they can't be trusted. 100% untrustworthy Chinese website, use other free software like BDLOT DVD iso maker, MAKE MKV, DVD shrink, ect. I have never since purchased other software from them & never will. To be honest I don't care if the full package I have stoped working either. I'm over having a tone of expensive hdds full of DVD & blu ray rips that I have to upgrade these drives every 5 years or so, it's a waste of time & money. Also if you purchase a full software package from them every time they come out with a new product it's not included in what you already have. DVD & blu ray ie physical media if winding down now due to streaming, don't waste your time & money if you want blu rays buy them & use a blu ray player to play them as media players & software & apps don't play back smoothly a lot of the time. I could go on but just don't waste your time or use free software to rip & VLC player to play

The reason I contacted you 3 times years ago is because I no longer have the email address or login info used when I purchased the original software. I told you guys in the TICKETS what the email address used when purchased along with my name & there was no response at all to any of the 3 TICKETS you can't verify me if you don't reply to my TICKETS right. You guys can't be trusted, your not trustworthy. DO NOT PURCHASE SOFTWARE FROM THEM. Waste of time ripping DVDs blu rays ect DISC READ ERROR. good bye dated 1999 DVD scratched plastic frizbees. Your logo is a monkey, anyone who pays for your piracy encouraging crapware is a monkey. THE END

Edited: Okay, It's only fair to update my previous review as I wrote it when the software was in a terrible state. We're still seeing some issues but the program is working much better than it was previously and is headed in the right direction. It's definitely on the right course and can only hope the company will take presumptive actions to counteract changes in the future. Will revise my review as necessary.
"Save your time and money, look elsewhere for this type of software. This software was great in the past but since January 2024 it has become a mess of useless updates that do NOT address the core issues. The programs under the auspice of DVDFab are struggling. StreamFab was a really good program at one time but now it struggles. Updates don't work correctly. If they fix one thing you can bet they broke something else in the process. As an owner of several Lifetime Licenses for their products I CAN'T or would NOT recommend their products. Their competitor has fixed most of the issues as it pertains to this type of software. Maybe one day they will fix this hot mess but for now, this is not the program you are looking for.

I have been using this program for a couple of years. When version 13 came along a removed version 12. all of a sudden the ripped blurays would no longer play.
I contacted the company, but they have done nothing to help me at all.

Avoid this company. I was advertised a product to be sold as $39 and assumed it was local currency. only AFTER the sale was finalized and they had debited my card did i find out that the pricing is all in USD. Ended up paying around $70 AUD for the same product. 'customer service' is a joke and just give you bogus replies with answers that dont relate to the issue whatsoever.

Response - no; nowhere in the website does the page ever state what currency the page is in. Not even at the transaction page. Only after the payment processed was it revealed that the pricing was in USD

In less than a year after purchasing the lifetime StreamFab, it is completely broken for the major streaming companies. There has been no improvements that resolve the major issue of DRM. The customer service, or lack thereof, makes it even more frustrating. There is no transparency in upcoming fixes, or timelines for fixes. All responses from customer service/technical support are canned responses used to get the customer to wait. They will close tickets even when there is no resolution to the issue. There is no recourse for the lack of fixes to the software/service. DO NOT BUY/SUBSCRIBE!!! CHECK THE FORUMS FIRST!!!
