Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers consistently praise the software for being extremely easy to use, noting that it handles format conversions and removes DRM restrictions smoothly. People deeply appreciate how fast and intuitive the clean interface is, allowing them to effortlessly manage and back up their digital libraries across multiple reading devices.
However, some customers also noted that recent updates to reading platforms can break software compatibility, occasionally causing the program to stop working properly. A few users additionally mentioned that the free trial version is too limited or that certain stubborn files fail to convert as expected.
I have used the free trial a few times now and its great!
The interface is very easy to use and beginner-friendly.
It runs quickly and smoothly and I had no problems with crashes so far.
Overall, a great tool to have. Only thing for me is the trial version is a bit limited.
It just works!
Having used the tool for a couple of times now, I can only say that it just works!
No crashes, very quick conversions and a good overall interface and polish, with loads of support if anything goes wrong.
Only thing I would add, would be for the developers to add a free 7 day full trial of the program. Otherwise really good!
A great little tool for your ebooks
This tool is very useful if you find yourself with a bunch of books you bought in one format (for example epub) and end up moving to another (like mobi) without fear of losing your entire ebook library.
very intuitive to use.
crap!!!!!stay away from this software,I do not know why there are so many good reviewes here about this crap!!!you supposedly remove dmr with this absolute crap and convert to pdf, you get useless black white pdf type of notepad file from windows ,and everything stacked on each other.stay away from this software!!!thanks god I have only a trial version
Thus far Epubor is looking to be extremely useful. I have numerous kindle e-reader books that I'd like to move to Calibre, but as always DRM is stopping me. Epubor can allow me to remove that DRM, and is the only tool I've found that actually works on the new encryption for Kindle books. Of course, the free trial vs the $25 price tag is a bit annoying, and normally would result in me bumping this down to 3 stars at best. However, Epubor's dev team has come up with an ingenius solution to those of us who don't wish to pay - free licenses for reviewing and rating their software. I actually intend to inform several of my coworkers about it, and if/when I get my full version, I'll re-review it to see if it gets a 5 star as I'm hoping it will.
The Epubor website contains a lot of information, one just needs to take the time to go through it properly (especially if not tech-savvy).
I found Epubor Ultimate to be very easy to use! The only thing I found lacking was that there were no details on how the trial version works and that it only converts 20% of the text. It would have been helpful to know this upfront, but otherwise...so far, so good.
Seems like a very good service but I don't understand the free trial. The conversion appears to work, but doesn't offer a full trial without the license. Seems there are lots of free ways to find a license though, so if this works, I'm sure it's great!
I downloaded the software, and while it was very easy to use, it did seem like a very powerful bit of software. It easily converted my part of kindle books to plain text, so I am very confident that it will allow me to convert the full books to other formats. I would have given it 5 stars, but the trial version does not allow for conversion to other formats, so I can not be 100% sure that it will in fact do this....but I am very optimistic.
Hi, I needed to remove DRM from the ascm book I had bought into epub to read it on my Kindle instead on my laptop. I had a hard time to find a software which solves my problem. The free version of Epubor did it. The only inconvenience is the free conversion is limited to 20% of the original file and only text format. It is a bit rough, but still readable. I can't wait to check what the paid version does.
As some other reviewers put it, this software works fine, until it doesn't.
Generally it is very unpredictable, and will work fine for a while, after which it will give you the message that the DRM removal failed even for the same books that could be decrypted only a few days before. Usually following their instructions of how to make it work is to no avail.
I would recommend to prospective buyers to look elsewhere for another DRM-removing option, if it exists.
Have tried the free version and it seems to work great. I hope the paid version will work great too. The only software that promises to remove drm from ebooks.
When I receive my textbooks from uni I want to have options where and how to read it. Usually you can read it with Adobe Digital Editions only which is not the best option for me because I can only read it on my Computer.
I prefer having my textbooks on my Kindle that way I can read them anywhere and don't have to carry around my big laptop everywhere.
Epubor was super helpful and I was able to convert all my textbooks really quickly and without any problems.
I do give it 4 stars since the price is a bit steep for me as a student. It'd be great if there was a student discount or pricing. Otherwise I really recommend it.
Appalling company to deal with.
Software we purchased didn't work, support wanted to install an older version which didn't work either. Had to instigate legal action to get a refund despite their money back guarantee.
Now a year after our refund we're bombarded with junk unsolicited mail. Unsubscribe links don't work and emails to support result in nothing. Even when we did have the software we got very little response from support.
Their software is a security risk and had to wipe and reinstall the operating system on the machine we used.
Another batch of junk emails today and its been over a year, emails and tech support is ignored. Avoid this company at all costs.
