Epubor Ultimate turned out to be a very solid solution. The interface is straightforward, the process is extremely fast, and the output files keep their original layout intact. I managed to unlock my Kindle books and access them on different devices with minimal effort, including newer releases with updated DRM. Customer support was responsive and efficient as well. Overall, it made handling my ebook library much more convenient. Definitely worth recommending.
I purchased a 1 year license in December 2024. After some issues with my laptop that necessitated a new motherboard, the epubor software claimed that the license was already registered on another device and that I should deregister from the other device first. Of course that is not possible. I sent an email to epubor 364 days after my initial purchase, and finally got a response from them a day later, telling me my license had expired and I needed to buy another license. So this software is not sold, merely rented out, and the promise of a year's warranty is a lie!
We provide license exchange service, I mean, if you need to register it on another device, you should contact us to help disable the previous one during your license's valid period. You contacted us 364 days after the purchase and tell us you need to register it on a new device; it's strange. This is a piece of Software that you may need just once when leaving another platform for books or music. But to get a working version of it you will need to pay. A free trial will not get all of your books or playlists, so you will need to calculate what the software costs and what your downloads would cost and if it is worth it.
I used to use a free method to remove DRM from my purchased content. This method required multiple installs from different houses. Then my provider changed its DRM and reader and the free system failed, and I didn't see any action on getting the free system updated. Epubor got it done quickly, and far more simply. Easily worth every dime.

Couple of things. First off, it doesn't work on Mac. Fails to work with Apple Books as well as Kindle. Second, they state they give a 30 day money back guarantee, this is a blatant lie. They will not honor that. At this point I'm glad I paid via paypal so they don't have my credit card information.

I have had this program for almost a year now. I originally decided to pay for it because I used the trial and it worked great; until I ran into a brick wall. All "regular" books will de-drm just fine, unless, god forbid, you used B&N in the past to buy comics. I constantly get an error pop-up any time I try to drag and drop anything that isn't a "regular" book, with information saying that the program can't recognize the DRM. I have contacted the company via email several times, and have accepted help from a customer service team member more than once in an attempt to fix it. I don't know if I am just not clearly communicating what exactly is wrong (with words and screenshots of the error messages), or if whoever I speak to just doesn't understand that everything de-drms just fine EXCEPT my comics. I gave up trying for a while and simply accepted that a large part of my digital comic collection will just be trapped in B&N Nook hell, until a couple of days ago when I decided to try again. No success, same issue. I once again emailed support, explaining that I am having the same issue, but the "solution" according to the company, is it spend MORE money on a DIFFERENT product because the Windows Nook app doesn't exist anymore; which is irrelevant to my situation because my library is already downloaded to the Epubor Ultimate app, and it has been since I bought the program. On top of that, I was told I would have to also download an Android emulator in order to use the new software that I was advised to try (buy). I was offered a 10% discount, but I really don't think I should have to pay again to maybe, possibly de-drm the material I paid for years and years ago. TLDR: the program works great if your digital library is nothing but traditional books. If you have hopes of de-drming a comic, manga, or probably any literary material at all that is mostly images from the B&N Nook app/store, don't waste your money.
