Special thanks to Monica Mo from Asia Highlights, for being understanding that I am travelling with my father, who wants to take the trip slow and easy, and keeps changing his requirements. Hence she is accommodating towards my ever changing requests and recommends suitable sight seeing places for us. I have given 4 stars, instead of 5. I feel there could be better coordination between Asia Highlights and the Vietnam tour agency. 1) The local tour guide was changed without informing me beforehand; I was looking out for a male guide instead of a female guide. There was confusion, coupled with worry that I may follow the wrong guide. 2) On the 2nd day of my tour, I compared my itinerary with the tour guide; she had something slightly different. Nonetheless, both of us were able to align eventually on the places to go 3) On the last day of the tour, I was supposed to have another guide. This guide waited for us at 8:30 a.m. at the hotel reception, instead of 10 a.m. as stated on the itinerary. We had a call from the guide through the receptionist around 9 a.m. when the guide did not see us show up. Orchid Cruises to Halong Bay was enjoyable. Surprise birthday celebration for my father; the guide took additional care of my father during the cycling trip due to his age. Overall a relaxed trip for us, despite the minor hiccups mentioned above.

What a Great Experience we had with booking our Trip to Vietnam and Thailand. With Stops in Ho Chi Min City and Danang, and Chang Mai, Pattaya and Bangkok. The tour was very good. The activities were well planned. Always on time. The only thing for me that I’ll do differently it’s to choose not to go to the Nong Nooch park because of the elephant show. Ying, our tour guide, she was amazing, very sweet and flexible with the things that we wanted.

It was a wonderful trip organised by Albee focusing on 6 nights in Ubud... Alaya Resort was peaceful and elegant. All staff was extremely nice SPA experience offered by a friend of mine was a delight The 3 tours organized to visit Temples, Mount Batur were well done... driver was very skilled and guides knowledgeable. It was nice to meet locals communities through the guides. Thank you Albee for such great trip organization, one more you did for my family .... 😊

Overall experience is pleasant. The itinerary run as expected. We usually go holiday on free and easy, but since this is our first time to Vietnam, we decided to take a local tour to help us moving around. The tour prepared by AsiaHighlight is well executed, we have sufficiently provided, especially with the mineral water to ensure all of us are well hydrated. The tour guides are friendly, accommodating and can converse well in English. If we can suggest for improvement: it will make us feel better if the tour guide can contact us before we arrive in our destination. This will make us feel better since we know who we will be meeting. Also, we wish that we can have the same tour guide throughout our whole time in Vietnam.

It was our first time to visit Japan and it did not disappoint. Yeliz, our agent was great before and during our trip. All of the hotels were wonderful and our guides were super friendly, knowledgeable and flexible. We had a 10 day trip that included multiple cities and lots of different sights, we squeezed in as much as we could, including a 2 day hiking trip to Mt. Fuji (our guide Sun Nan was awesome!). Our guide in Tokyo, Jennifer, was lovely and our guide for 2 days in Kyoto, Dennis, was also super great. We did a food tour in Osaka with Vivian which was nice, but I think we maybe expected a little bit more? Overall, great experience, a little bit of confusion as far as how we were to receive tickets for the trains and some of our excursions, but luckily we could communicate via WhatsApp and get everything straightened out very quickly. I would recommend Asia Highlights to others for sure!

The Asia Highlights team really helped make our family vacation worry free. Albee was a gem to work with in setting up the itineraries and suggestions. Our first day in Japan got off to a rocky start but service recovery was quick and appreciated and the remainder of the vacation was fun. Anna and Lily really made us feel welcomed and guided well. My only suggestion would be to advise first time visitors of any cultural tips so as to ensure the visitor is aware ahead of time of any particular do’s and dont’s. I would recommend Asia Highlights for a safe, fun filled and carefully managed experience.

Met my BFF’s daughter in Ho Chi Minh at the end of her global med program to explore Vietnam. I knew nothing about Asia Highlights but the reviews were good and, after talking to Albee, I felt more comfortable about the decision. It took a while to settle on a itinerary and she was great with all of my modifications. The arrangements she made were great and the representatives met us at each of the location right on time!! What a relief that was! We spend 14 days covering the highlights of Vietnam and a few days in Cambodia to fulfill my dream to go the Angkor Wat. We started with the first day in Ho Chi Minh then traveled to the Mekong Delta. Our tour guide was Tran who met at the hotel to begin our adventure. Tran was knowledgeable of the region and very enthusiastic!! Her English was very good! Definitely the best of all our guides. She was very helpful and attentive to all our questions. If we had certain requests, she tired to make it happen. For example, she found Mangosteen and we all tried Durian..(it was awful, for the record 🫢) We next flew to Siem Reap and Narun was there to meet us. Our time at Angkor Wat and the other temples was magical. Narun’s knowledge of the area and personal experience, helped make it a unique adventure. We had an oxen ride that was a lot of fun!! We flew back to Ha Noi to continue our exploration of Vietnam. Lily was our guide and we spent alot of time at the Ho Chi Minh complex. That was a little much and it would have been good to explore other sites. There’s a UNESCO site that would have been interesting to see. The water puppet show was our last event in Ha Noi. That was nice. We had never seen anything like that before! We traveled to Ha Long bay for a 1-day cruise. It was OK but too many boats and there was a good amount of trash in the bay…sad. Next, we flew to DaNang to get to Hoi An. Hoi An old town was very busy and lively with great shops to visit. The lanterns and boats on the river at night were special. I really enjoy going out on the fishing boat and the cooking class. Our guide, Nam, was good. He didn’t spend a great deal of time with us. We had two afternoons with nothing to do. It would have been good to see more or explore Da Nang. Our last stop was Da Lat. What an incredibly beautiful place, if you like mountains, lush green gardens and flowers. The temperature was refreshing!! Much cooling and less humidity!! Hanh was our guide. He is a Da Lat native and was very knowledgeable. His love of the city was very apparent. Some of the tours here could have been better and more in-depth. For example, the tea tour could have involved a tour of the plants and tea production but it was simply a tea buying excursion. All in all, it was a great trip and I would highly recommend Asia Highlights to friends and family. Having a personal guide was priceless. You didn’t feel like you were cattle on a big bus. It was reassuring to see the sign with your name at every stop!! I will definitely use them again!! One thing I would do different is make the group larger. There was just 2 of us and I think it would be better if there had been 4. I kinda felt like I had to do all the events. With more, you don’t have that pressure.

We were picked up promptly at the designated hour. Our tour guide, Marie, introduced herself to us. She and the driver of the shuttle were courteous and polite. They were also flexible with their time. Marie gave us the rich history of the palace and the other places we went to, obviously she is very knowledgeable. Often times she would ask if we were alright and made sure we were always within her sight. Such a caring person. The driver always had a cooler of ice cold water and cold towelettes for us to avail of. I did not rate my experience a 5 because our tour itinerary was not the same as what was previously sent to us by Albee Ning (travel advisor of asia highlights). I was a bit disappointed about this. However, I would still highly recommend this Asia Highlights tour.

She tailored itineary and give suggestions as well as advice but unfortunately due to my group disagreeable with the quote price, we forego this. My husband and I recently went on a 15 day tour to Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. My overall experience was average. One of the hotels in Bangkok - The Matria was a bit of a run down place with poor breakfast. Our Bangkok guide Monchai was super, caring and always explained the various places to us. Changmai was a bit of a disappointment because it was just 2 hurried half day tours. Our guide Indy has an attitude not helpful and sleeps during long bus rides. She is always in a hurry, not flexible, and very fixated with her schedules. Hanoi was hot and humid. Tours were interesting. Our guide Mr. Van was good. The Anatole hotel we stayed was great with good breakfast. We enjoyed the water puppet show. Halong Bay tour with Orchid Trendy Cruise was average. Our guide was super. However some of the tours stated was not what I had expected it to be. Overall not very impressive. Saigon was good. The hotel Central City Point had a great view and the breakfast was superb. Our guide Duc was excellent, treated us like his parents, very caring and helpful. Tours were good. Cambodia is my favorite place. Our guide Mr. Borin speaks excellent English. He is knowledgable, takes his time to show and explains things to us. He is highly recommended. The Khmer Mansion Residence was my most favorite place to stay. My husband and I were treated like royalty. A special mention to Wychette ( GM ) front desk staff Sokka Thiem, F&B manager Thoeum Kry, waitress Sreyni all of which were excellent, sweet, and very welcoming. Ours hats off to the entire hotel staff and our sincere thanks. We would highly recommend this hotel to all future tourists !!! That concludes my reviews on my Asia Highlight tour and I hope to connect with Cathy Chen again for any future tours.

I liked the food tour I signed up. It was great experience, all or most of my tour guide was informative and cool. I did however ran into a few issues maybe because I'm single and only wanted to do the food tour and stayed 3 or less days at some places. My itinerary was 8 or 9 countries for 21 days which work out fantastic for me. Food Tour only. I think it was probably bad communication sometimes, when I go to places, the first one. Tour guide changed it up to make it less boring with temple history but the cost was upfront. When I already paid in full. So not sure it ended me paying more. Plus the country didn't take my money because it was in , I quoted, bad condition, so.... maybe inform your customers that they should bring clean, no marking, or ripped USD. I was told that it was a tourist hot spot and credit card was not used at all. That was the struggle I endure during a few or most of these countries. Also, maybe inform customers to download the whatsapp before. Many of the tour guides would reach out to me before the itinerary for the next day or communicate so that WE as customers know so we don't think we have a free night. Some tour guides just randomly show up at either the airport or meet at the hotel lobby. I experience it differently for each country and tour guide are all different. I would exclude Manilla Phillipines from the food tour. I was very disappointed. There was no communication until I had to ask the customer service. It was very bad experience in the beginning. I know the tour guide was informative and he paid me back for they drop me at the wrong hotel. I was not happy but I made it work. I felt on my free time, it was dangerous and alot of homeless people were around the hotel i stayed at. There was nothing unique besides alot of malls. I felt it was okay but dangerous to travel to Manila Philippines. Needs work but overall the people made it better in some cases. I mean paying to go to those countries was what I got my money worth. Besides the beginning. I thank the team for their efforts to help me get the best experience, I thank you for that and it was worth it, just expect some issues along the way if traveling more than 3 countries.

After an amazing experience with Asia Highlights and their local service in Myanmar 2 years ago, we contacted and contracted them again for this year's Bali trip. The experience was quite different this time. Although overall we finally got a nice itinerary it didn't feel the same. At one time I wrote directly to the supervisor (as suggested in every single email communication) but the 'so called' supervisor either doesn't exist or (even worse) doesn't care. He/she never came back or reacted in any way. This probably explains why our agent wasn't to worried and lacked a bit of effort at times. She even refused to provide my membership details to the hotel despite asking for this multiple times, which resulted in a horrible initial experience at the last hotel. I fixed it very successfully myself. (See separate hotel reviews) Given our experience this time I would not use Asia Highlights in the future and will stop recommending it to friends or business partners. Our local agent however (Destination Asia) was wonderful. Our tour guide, Mr. Pariasa, was very knowledgeable and provided many meaningful insights into the Balinese culture, history, its people and customs. Personally I loved his great attitude and fantastic sense of humour. He was very polite, friendly, always extremely helpful and also patient with all our questions. It was a true pleasure spending almost two weeks with him on this beautiful island. Big thank you to the driver, Mr. Komang, as well. His driving skills, his attitude and his personality is equally fantastic. I hope we can meet either gentleman some time in the future again. Big compliment to both.

In Vietnam we were put in at Little Riverside hotel which wasn’t 5 star hotel. In Hoian lantern canoe ride & night market should have been in itinerary. In Laos Luang Prabang the first hotel Satri House was terrible. It was 2 star hotel. But after complaining we were put in 5 star hotel. Overall Albee did a good job.

On the whole, our trip to China had been a very pleasant one. Much of the credit should go to the meticulous planning made by Asia Highlights. Also, I was very impressed by the guides. They took great pains to accommodate our requests, including the provision of a wheelchair all the way for one of us at no extra cost! Their command of English was very good. The meals provided were clearly above average. The only glitch occurred when we were given a smoking room at one of the hotels though we requested for non-smoking rooms; this took some time to resolve. The most outstanding hotel during the whole trip was LiuYing Hotel at Hangzhou, a truly five-star hotel! Suggestion: It would have been very helpful for Asia Highlights, headquartered in Guilin, to get detailed and up-to-date information from the LOCAL guides about hotel recommendations, on-going festivals or artistic performances, most efficient means of transport, acceptable foreign credit cards, famous restaurants, places in the vicinity worth visiting etc. Such information, if given BEFORE the trip, would have saved a lot of time for the travelers.
