Some reviewers were not happy with occasional delivery delays, missing tracking updates, or unexpected difficulties and hidden costs encountered during the return process. A few customers also noted receiving items with poor stitching, damaged packaging, or fabric colors that significantly differed from the website advertisements and photos.
DO NOT ORDER MADE TO MEASURE -
We used JJ's House for my bridesmaid dresses at my 2025 wedding. We ordered 3 of their made to measure dresses - only 1 dress arrived as per the measurements my bridesmaids provided. The other 2 dresses required alterations to fit my bridesmaids, and 1 was at a cost of more than the value of the dress (it was ~10cm out at the waist measurement).
We went back to JJs on this but they only offered a partial 30% refund despite us showing the discrepancy in sizing clearly. - This was extremely disappointing given how many people have said they had brilliant custom service.
The dresses are really nice and the option to have different dresses in the same colour is great.
If you are considering purchasing from JJ's House, I would just STRONGLY advise ordering the usual sizing (e.g., UK 8, 10, 12) instead of going for the made to measure.
Post updated reply from JJs: despite demonstrating the discrepancies in the quality check photos and the actual dress we received, we were still told that our product was "correct" and we could only have 30% back. ~10cm discrepancy is not down to a mismeasurement. The dress was either incorrectly made to sizing or we were sent a dress that did not match the one from their QC photos. - PLEASE DON'T BELIEVE WE ARE THE ISSUE IN THIS SCENARIO AND DO AVOID THE MADE TO MEASURE SERVICE (I'm very confident in being able to use a tape measure)

- Shipping tracker was updated, resourceful and correct. I was updated everytime the status of my dress was moved.
- The box was ripped apon delivery but no visable tear on the bag the dress was in and the dress.
- Package came before delivery date, Was put in a safe dry spot on my porch.
I would buy another dress from this company. I was very pleased with the quality, shipping and aid right through my experience.

JJ's is always great! Love the quality and value we get for the dresses. The ability to try on for 10$ each and the variety of styles and colors to fit every body type and wedding color. The only frustrating parts are tracking for the shipments could be better and maybe some instructions on your dress with the multiple straps!

The dress is lovely, but it was crammed into a tiny plastic bag which was then pushed into a box that wasn’t even near the size of a small toaster. I am sure this is beneficial for material and transport purposes, cost wise, but not very healthy for the dress material. Thank goodness I didn’t have to wear it straight away!

The try on process is wonderful.
Belt missing from one dress made it a little difficult to decide.
Hooks at the top of the zipper would be great.

The colour of the dresses are lovely but so disappointed with how they fall. Both bridesmaids have larger bust (D cups) and the front of the dress is FAR too low. The length of the dresses of course are too long. We've had to pay to have them altered. So I guess if you accept that you pay for alterations, they're fine. But we got from another site (cheaper) and no alterations!!

This business provide options when ordering several styles. Including an option to try before you buy. I ordered 2 gowns which were return because of style, didn't fit or the material. I did not have any issues with returning any of the gowns and received a full refund. JJ's House customer service was very courteous and professional during the return process.

I ordered 4 tryon dresses and found one I like. I have returned 3 and paid for 1. Then I noticed the white tags are sewn between the lace bodice and the lining. They show through and cannot be removed without taking the garment apart. I have sent 4 emails asking to exchange the dress and have had no reply. I was very happy until I needed customer service.

Shipping was on time, but product looked a bit cheaper in person than pictured. The company also did not give me the refund that I was due when I returned it. They were only supposed to deduct shipping, but they deducted much more than that.

Regarding the issue with the refund, please note that we refunded 100% of the product amount, as per our return policy, and only the shipping costs of the expedited shipping method you chose and the prepaid return label were deducted as part of the return process.
I didn't get the return code to send the dress back. Then it took a bit to get the confirmation email when I sent it back. Kind of stressful!

I love the clothes, but the shipping cost is way too expensive. Consider offering free shipping, or lower the shipping cost. Shipping costs makes me consider going elsewhere.

My bridesmaids ordered their sample dresses from JJ's House, and whilst I appreciate these dresses are much cheaper than what you would buy in a boutique, we found the quality to be absolutely awful.
The dresses came up very small (my cousin is usually a size 6 and she came up as a size 14!) and are clearly not designed for typical western woman build.
The dress material was very cheap and didn't hang well at all. I think for cheap dresses they are just about adequate (though I'd say you'd expect them to be more like £30 or £40), but we decided the overall look was cheap and a bit tacky, so opted to pay more to have dresses fitted at a proper boutique.
My advice to brides: You can get similar styles and much better quality at high street brands, and probably for a lot less. Places like Quiz clothing, Debenhams etc offer some beautiful dresses and have the added fun of trying on different styles in person.
My advice to JJ's House: the quality has definitely gone down in recent years and it's such a shame. It will ultimately impact the brand and is worth investigating.

Long story short, dresses are ok only issue with sizing up or down is the only thing that becomes bigger or smaller is the boob area, unfortunately I am unable to find a seamstress to alter the dresses as their responses was (jjs house is a glorified shein) so we have had to purchase else where.

The company does have dresses it can send you to try on. I was able to try on most of the dresses I wanted to however I caution you to order them when you see them otherwise, they may not be available when you want to try them on. I love the idea of being able to shop from home and have the ability to try the item on before you commit to buying it!

In my search for a veil I found one at JJs house. Something went wrong because it was a sale item. I ordered another but sadly the same thing happend. I spend many days messaging al lot with JJshouse till we found a solution that worked from both sides. In the last contact I felt taken seriously and the solution they offered felt fair to me. They explained in the sale sometimes items are put back in de wrong bag, this is why the chance for a mistake is a little bigger.
I changed this review because after I posted this, we found a solution after all. Thank you. It took a little to long to understand each other but I am really glad we found an solution.

The dress colour I wanted it not available in their try on scheme so I had to order it to try.
Dresses take a long time to come. The charge for returning dresses is unacceptable, a £10 restocking fee seems ridiculous.
The material was also quite cheap.
Given the good reviews I was expecting much more!
