Terrible software
Terrible software! It is lacking in so many ways: There is no indication if the software Rip'd properly or completely. It just ends. There may be corruption, but you have to watch the entire converted movie to determine. Sometimes the Ripping process just does not end. I have allowed it to run for up to 8 hours, creating a multi-TB file which is complete garbage...It never returned a single error. There are no error codes to show if/when the process did or did not convert properly. There are no log files or options to turn logging on. The help files are useless...they just point to the couple options to try, but don't explain when/how/why to use them. Support is absolutely useless and frustrating. They do not read anything about the problem I explained past the first few words of any email. I have contacted support multiple times. They did successfully convert one file I could not...but they could/would never tell me how they did it, and I can't reproduce the same results with their software. At this point, I don't trust the software. I'd like a $60 refund, but it's been over 30 days, so I won't even ask. They do a great job making it look like they are a professional company and software...but they are not! There have to be better solutions! As an update, the company contacted me after I posted the above review. They offered to provide a refund if I delete my review. I responded that I would edit my review to indicate they were willing to provide a refund, to which they responded "you delete the review first". Obviously they are not interested in improving the software features or improving their support. They only want the reviews to appear to indicate they have a great product. To this I strongly suggest that any potential customers look elsewhere.
Great Software
Great software, user friendly and versatile, and updated continuously so that it is always working smoothly. I have used this software both for video & disc for years. If I have (rarely) had a problem from issues on the web or on my end, I have contacted the support team by email and the response has been immediate with resolution. A great team of engineers and I appreciate these products.

Great Support! Nice and simple software, I only use the converter to ocasionally backup videos from Youtube! It's great The Support team helped re-validate my software making very easy to reactivate it.

Old fashioned responsive customer service
Contacted customer service after having endless problems with a particular rip. It took more than a week of interchanges with them to resolve the issue and they were always prompt and clear with their responses, offering a succession of possible solutions before we finally found a winner. I was impressed. This level of customer responsiveness is rare these days.

I've been using MacX Video Converter Pro for years and enjoying the ease and proficiency of its operation. I also have the DVD Ripper Pro. I recently had to move the applications from an old, obsolete Mac to a new one. I'm not computer savvy, so contacted customer support (Adam), but didn't comprehend his reply. After asking again, Adam supplied the details that made it very easy for me to switch and install. His gracious and immediate response should be a model for Customer Service reps everywhere.

$19.99 purchase became a $66.54 bill
The app worked well enough once I "upgraded". I purchased for $19.99, ended up being billed $66.44. The $19.99 version was at best bait-and-switch. Really annoying. I request a full refund and they refunded be $21.54. Buyer beware~
This Software Is a Must Have!
I use it frequently, especially for ripping CDs and creating iso files. It's seamless and gets the job done! Recently my hard drive was replaced and I needed to reinstall the Ripper and the license key wasn't working. I contacted support and they responded immediately, and had me back in business in no time! That's great suppport!
Excellent software with many useful features
I have been a user of this software for a number of years now, with different macOS versions and in each case it performs exceptionally well. It is worth reading the online documentation as the features are many, both for audio and video applications. I like the "subtitles" capability very much for some brilliant foreign language films. I would recommend to anyone. The support is very quick and also great even though I have only needed it twice in many years, and then was and issue caused by myself !

The Rolls Royce of DVD ripper software! I have tried them all, and this is the best. The support team are very responsive, patient and helpful and to be honest, it was usually me that was the problem, not the software!

The programs are great and the support is great. It all works very well but if there's a problem, it will be fixed immediately. Very satisfied!
They stand behind the products, even retired ones.
I bought a lifetime license over six years ago. When I moved to a new computer, and wanted to install that app, I found that the old download link still worked even though that old product was no longer being sold. I had an issue getting the license key to work but, via email, they fixed that problem within 12 hours!
