worst customer service that I've experienced
still waiting for RMA after 4 weeks of sending them e-mail
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SCAMSTERS! you have been warned.
to explain my experience in short - i first ordered battery from them but cancelled it immediately, they didn't acknowledge that email instead sent me the battery after one week when I paid extra for next day delivery.
So I sent them email asking for return label which is pending for 4 weeks now.
Ordered Royal mail next day delivery, as with everyone else nothing turned up for weeks. Opened a PayPal dispute to claim the money back and they sent it out with DPD 48 hours later. I'm sure that if I didn't raise a claim they would never have sent the item. They are just trying to avoid being caught scamming people for as long as possible
Charged £6.00 for Royal mail first class singed for delivery. Then got a message saying now coming via Yodal with tracking as royal mail have restrictions on battery's. Sent five Emails and asked for the tracking number, no response.Battery took seven days to arrive, looks like it came from China.Beware if you select the cheaper postage option it defaults to Royal Mail £6.00.
This rogue company has gone to unbelievable lengths to refrain from refunding my money or replacing the incorrect battery they sent me. Like many others below, I found that they failed to respond to any emails or on line messages and their 'chat' facility is unavailable no matter what time you try. One giveaway is the fact that you can't pin down the name of the company which seems to be known by three names, Powerguider, Batterysell, and GoldenTech.
Now they have even tried to mislead Paypal after I opened up a dispute with Paypal. Batterysell via Paypal advised me that two new parcels were on their way. Progress I thought at first, but why two parcels, one via Yodel and the other via MyHermes? I checked the tracking nos. and found that both deliveries had been completed! I checked with both couriers and both replied that the tracking nos related to different addresses, neither being mine.
Luckily I keep copies of everything and I have now escalated the matter with Paypal, who given my, and everyone else's feedback would do well to take this rogue company off their books.
UPDATE : Paypal have refunded my payment but I had to return the original battery at my expense. Worth it because I had to prove to Paypal that Golden Tech had accepted the delivery. The whole process from original order to refund took eight weeks and some considerable effort.
I reordered the correct battery from Green Cell and it arrived and is fitted and working perfectly. Wish I had used them in the first place especially as the cost was only a few pence difference.
I ordered from this site on December.23rd before checking it's reviews. Basically they took my money and scammed me as I have received no delivery or response to any queries. How Google can continue to advertise this site is beyond me.
I ordered a laptop battery from this company and after having my first payment card declined, tried another which was accepted. On screen I received a very badly written message on the page which was confusing as you couldn't tell whether the card was accepted and whether the order had. It said to contact the sales department, which I did. I never received any email confirmation so sent an email to the link on the contact page. Not even an acknowledgement. After looking at the reviews I decided, 20 minutes after ordering, to cancel so I sent further emails. No responses. I rang my credit card company and told them what
had happened and they put the payment in 'dispute'. Two days later I received a dispatch email, to which I immediately responded saying I had cancelled the order. No response and the battery arrived. I immediately emailed again, no response. No details either on the package regarding returns - although I'm still waiting to see the result of the 'disputed' funds. This is a really bad company which obviously holds its customers in contempt. I've given one star as that is the minimum I can but in reality it should be zero.
As many other reviews previous to this one have said, bought a battery for my laptop and now (within the warranty period) it is failing.
No chance of getting any sort of replacement I fear, I'll take this one as a lesson learnt.
DO NOT USE THEM UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY TO THROW AWAY
Like other dissatisfied customers on here I too purchased a battery in March this year with a three year guarantee. However it is now failing. No replies to emails or internal messaging service; no telephone numbers to call; and no letters answered. This company appears to have changed their name without advising customers. Companies house report a striking off. They have changed their name to Platinum Batteries but continue to sell through the Google website as UK Batteries and in doing so mislead people paying good money in good faith.
Same as the other reviews - don't trust this business
Same as the other reviews - they took my money for 2 batteries (£49) & will nor refund and will not answer emails..Suggest you use an honest company or just simply give them your money and don't expect your goods to be delivered!!!
Steer well clear, product not delivered, no contact phone number, don't answer any e-mails.
They have STOLEN my money. Finally got a e-mailed response asking me to change my 1 star review, unbelievable, if I could I would give them a MINUS 5 review. They still insist they had despatched my order BUT STILL NOTHING ARRIVED. Once again they have ignored my e-mails. Why are this company of obvious crooks allowed to continue trading?
2/1/2019 - Still lying by saying it was delivered to my company address 19/12 @ 18.41, we close at 17.00. Still no battery and they still have my money.
Faulty Item - Company does not respond to any correspondence
While the battery was delivered in good time it did not work
6 contact attempts via their website (they don't provide a phone number) over a 3 week period and still no response
I would avoid this company at all costs
I ordered my battery 10 days ago! I am still waiting for the battery. They claimed 2- working days. I am yet to receive it.neither to they respond to their emails.
Ordered a battery, took ages to arrive, fitted to laptop which it was advertised to be compatible with, it wasn't. In the meantime I had emailed for an invoice, nothing. Emailed again for a return for faulty goods, nothing. Online chat is never working. Emailed again saying I wanted a full refund, nothing. No telephone number. These are crooks, do not even consider using them.
Still no refund after 4weeks+. I have asked the credit card company to persue a refund. (Dec 14)
I too wish I had read the reviews. I have asked for a refund for a faulty battery:
- No reply to 5 emails spread over 7 days
- No live-chat available (supposed to be 9-6)
- No telephone number to call
I will try another company and contact my credit card company.
I have just received an e mail from Powerguider and it apologises for the lack of communication. It has said I will get a full refund and and they are not making me send battery back which saves a lot of hassle. I will uodate once I receive the refund Avoid as there is no live help. I cannot get a reply from them. wish I had read the reviews before I bought
This is honest - avoid like the plague this DISHONEST company
This is honest. I am experiencing the same issues as others. I am being fobbed off about delivery despite the promise of next day UK delivery...impossible as they are not UK based. The LIVE HELP is never on-line. I have tried to cancel the order before any shipping is possible but they are not forthcoming. I should have been suspicious with a 3 yr warranty on Li-Ion batteries!
ZERO stars avoid avoid avoid!
How I wish I'd read the reviews on here for this company.
Laptop Battery arrived end of October - fits my Toshiba but doesn't work.
I've been emailing them ever since and have received no response - absolutely appalling customer service. What a bunch of cowboys!
There should be an option to give a negative stars. This company is bogus. I've ordered a battery on 8th of October. Till Today, it hasn't arrived, and it won't. After I've sent them an email with the information that I'm reporting them to the Police, they've send me an email stating they were out of stock (what a surprise!) and my battery will be dispatched within next 3-5 working days. This was a month ago. Since then, no battery, no refund, no contact. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!!!!!!!!
