When shipping internationally, different countries have different documentation requirements for clearing unaccompanied baggage through customs. While Ship Sticks handles the majority of these customs documents on your behalf, certain requirements must be fulfilled directly by the customer. For Norway specifically, this includes a copy of your passport, your flight and travel itinerary in and out of the country, and completion of an online government form to obtain a TRK (Norwegian Tax Registration Number). This form allows Norwegian customs to identify who is entering the country and for what purpose. Similar requirements apply when traveling to a number of other countries, such as the Dominican Republic, Cayman Islands, and Jamaica, to name a few. Delays in transit are by no means common, but when they do occur, our team makes every effort to expedite delivery and limit the impact on your travel and golf plans. Since the bag arrived after the scheduled tee time, your outbound shipping costs have been refunded in full, and our Shipment Protection Plan has been extended, covering up to $200 in reimbursement for rental clubs, golf balls, gloves, shoes, and similar expenses. We understand this isn't the outcome we ultimately aim for, but it's in place specifically to help minimize out of pocket costs while we work toward resolving situations like this one. The good news is the shipment did arrive at 11:16 am yesterday and will be available for the remaining rounds.
