DBS/POSB promo and Shopee collaboration as scammers
DBS/POSB promo is stupid. The promo is on every Thurs - at 12:01AM when wanting to apply the promo, it always show fully redeemed. What is the point to put this promo as every Thursday when within 1 min past midnight it is fully redeemed. It’s seems the bank or Shopee limits to 1 redemption per day or it is just a bullsh*t promo? In the terms and conditions there isn’t indication that says what the cap is for redemption. Moreover the last time I tried, before clicking on placing order, it showed the discount was applied. When after I clicked and submit order, the discount just disappeared and did not apply to my purchase. This is a scam! After writing into Shopee, they first said promo has been fully redeemed which wasn’t so as there was no sign that it says it is fully redeemed. Second reason they gave was because I used this and that voucher so cannot be stacked (terms & conditions have no indication on this as well) All these reasons do not explain why the discount was shown and then taken out after I made my purchase. This is call cheating your customers!! Does Singapore allows this at all?
I have been a Shopee user since April…
I have been a Shopee user since April 2020 (that's when we were in circuit breaker and most of us were working from home). So far, I face no problems in receiving items (as what I ordered), refunds (I do have some items being returned and refunded accordingly), and using ShopeePay (there were times I could earn points if I top up certain amounts and eventually can use for redeeming and pay lesser for my next orders). 1 less star due to the fact I cannot top up my ShopeePay when using a web browser.

Shopee have this funds system called the ShopeePay. It basically asks you to pre pay and put funds into Shopee for future usage. As I have always depended on Shopee for my online purchases, I also started using this systems of theirs as I also could get more coins cashback. However, despite using it for so long, I had no idea the funds I deposited were non refundable (basically if you click transfer, you will then see that only the refund amount is withdrawable). I only discovered this when I recently topped a huge amount wrongly and tried to withdraw some but couldn’t do so. So I called their customer service for help and they simply told me no. I would suggest to add a pop up or disclaimer when users are doing their top up so that people know to double check and triple check that they have entered the right amount. Not sure about this but when I tried Googling for ways to withdraw my ShoppePay, it seems that the Malaysia and Philippines Shopee app could do so, but not Singapore.
Great welcome gift
Bought a few items off Shopee Web, quite straight forward comparable to other platforms. Appreciate the many discount vouchers for new users which I could use. Furthermore, I was browsing around Shopee website and chanced upon their welcome gifts. Chose a pillow and I love the gift! P.S However, Shopee could look into certain features to improve themselves. E.g be more distinct with the "Delete" purchase text which is in black and inconspicuous on PC, and also the platform voucher is not automated and small.

Scam prone app with no proper checks and balances.
I have often had products ordered which: 1. Never arrived for whatever reason. 2. Received 2 defective/cheaply made products. The only good ones I received were actually from know resalers which quite frankly can be found on other apps. After my last 2 orders arrive, I am deleting the app.
Speedy deliveries and good product offering
Bought from Shopee a few times, other than some delays during Covid period, all my orders arrived before expected delivery date. Items were satisfactory as well. Products might not be best/perfect quality but you get what you pay for! So overall quite value for money - just gotta know how to read the reviews/ratings and shop at the better sellers/shops.
Referral code is useless
I give an average rating..why Their referral code is plain impossible to get as they made it such that people who are new to it simply download apps n shop n check out then realise did not enter referral code n best of it is u cant hit back button to enter code...... very sad they displeased customers to refer more customers.. So dont do referral for Shopee ..

Shopee has been good to me. Delivery is faster as compare to lazada, aliexpress, etc. More variety. I have placed about 15 orders during CB at Shoppe, received in average a week. some items took 11 days but most of them came under as compare to Lazada and Ali express.

Made several purchases, so far, everyone has been delivered speedily and on time, and products all as advertised. I think you just have to be aware of the retailer you are buying from - look for high ratings, and read the feedback from other customers.
Not very fond of this marketplace
When I checked out, it asked for additional fee on my credit card purchase. While other e commerce does not. Overall a good place to shop.
