Payments made through our Quick Pay portal are applied as additional payments and do not automatically cancel or replace the next scheduled draft. While this information is included on the payment screen, your feedback makes it clear that the notice may need to be more prominent. We are reviewing how and where it appears so customers can see it before submitting an additional payment. For clarification, VetBilling uses the photo step as part of the payment plan signature process. The pet owner completes their own enrollment information through a secure link, and the photo with a unique identifier code helps confirm that the person agreeing to the payment plan is the person completing and signing it. This helps protect both the pet owner and the veterinary practice by reducing the risk of errors, unauthorized enrollment, or later disputes. Regarding the $3 transaction fee, VetBilling payment plans do not charge interest, and there is no retroactive interest. The transaction fee helps support secure payment processing, account management, and access to our customer support team throughout the life of the payment plan. For many pet owners, that small per-payment fee is the only added cost for being able to pay the veterinary bill over time.
