Looking at the email you sent, I can see you were offered to buy an upgrade, not a monthly subscription, to access a newer version that is compatible with your new computer. As technology evolves, it's normal to upgrade to use newer software. It's still up to you to upgrade or not, and you can still use the 2022 version on a compatible computer.
