The photo restoration takes extremely…
The photo restoration takes extremely long time and the results are really awful. The results in photo Ai are sub par. I use Evoto and there is a world of difference in my results. It may not be perfect every time but it works so much better that anything I have used in Topaz. Now Topaz gigapixel is a great program. I have used it many times with great results.
Never was able to utilize any of the more advanced A.I renders due to various errors. Used others and the effect was negligible or major artifacting. Do not recommend unless your pc is stronger than eight cores and eight GB of video memory.
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I paid for the subscription and cannot even get it to download. I have done everything their ai customer service bot has suggested, and I cannot even get it to download. I get a message that says it cannot be downloaded on my computer with absolutely no reason why. I have Topaz Sharpen and DeNoise on my computer and cannot delete them. It will not let me get out of the test mode with their watermark on the photos. All I get from Topaz Labs is a link to a video that does not help at all. I'm done with companies who cannot call back or have humans on a help desk. I am now out a substantial investment. And yes, I have plenty of room on my cpmputer for the app.
It seldom works when I try to.
Export from Lightroom . I'll work on a photo for half an hour and try to export it and it just disappears. The slider controls on many of the functions are so screwed up and act nothing like any other slider control on any other program. Many of the functions default to 0% correction. Topaz shouldn't rely on customers to provide ideas to correct these very fundamental issues.
For the money and what you get, this product is too expensive. They do not let you know how much it costs to “render” a clip. The clip I attempted to clean up did not look any different when I was done.
I really love the overall experience and options. However, as with any AI, there are limitations when working either heavily compressed footage.
Pros: clears blur, options for different settings depending on how “aggressive” you want the tool to be, several models, often reveals missing beauty/magic/details, great to experiment with
Cons: I still haven’t found a way to work with heavily compressed footage without compromising between only making a modest enhancement vs ai hallucinating and distorting the image. I would also love an easy diy user’s manual!
A very poor-quality product; I cannot recommend it
The app feels more like a beta test version than a final product. It’s unstable, and the cloud processing queue keeps crashing.
Photos processed via the cloud are often saved to the “Downloads” folder, even when the settings specify that they should be saved to the original folder.
There is no preview available for cloud processing, so finding a suitable model can only be done through trial and error.
The subscription is overpriced, and there is no option to purchase a permanent license.
A disgusting experience, paid 12 dollars, downloaded the full software, and did not get a chance to use it once. It kept asking me for more money; I believe another 19 dollars. Contacted help, got some artificial excuse for a human. Topaz got the wrong e-mail; yes, they both belong to me, but neither one worked
My old apps I purchased and still own worked great and were simple to use. Topaz is getting way more complicated and expensive and has to be rented. If I find a useful alternative I WILL DUMP Topaz
And then I got a advertisement from Topaz about Topaz Gigapixel. I clicked on several buttons thinking I was going to get more information but I was slid into a years subscription for about $150. As near as I can tell all it does is resize a photo, something old Topaz did quite nicely. Not at all happy with Topaz
