Was a fun project
Was a fun project! I'm no carpenter by any means! I've always wanted a deck for my small backyard but 10s of thousands of dollars will never be in my budget. My 93 year old Grandmother stays with me and now she can walk comfortably out the back door and enjoy outside gathering. My friend and I put it up in a day and a half. We raised it from its designed height and built steps. Everything was in the neatly organized crate!! I didn't saw a single board! My friend and I had fun and my Grandma was over the moon. Just need Deck railing and possibly a pergola. The price was right!!

Precut lumber is amazing makes for fast…
Precut lumber is amazing makes for fast assembly. But some parts you can tell were cut on different saws (area) when pulling together they don’t match up. Decking boards should be cleaner no marks, and as for the instructions I built in the mountains with no cell service. 1 2x6 missing but extra deck boards.

The staff were responsive, helpful and easy to deal with. The deck kit arrived very quickly and included everything needed. The only instructions was video with images only. At least the deck was color coded to the video. Some written instructions mailed with the deck would be useful. My kit included railings and stairs with no instructions at all. I had asked for stairs that were to include two steps for a total of three steps down to the ground due to our age. They had two step but the first step was only an inch from the deck boards. We will have to rebuild them to make them usable for us.

Just finished building our 16x20 deck and I couldn’t be happier with the experience from start to finish. Everything we needed came in the kit, even the bit for the impact driver. The only thing we had to supply was the screw gun or impact driver itself. The deck turned out solid and all of the wood arrived in excellent condition. Honestly, if I had tried to build a deck like this completely from scratch, I probably would’ve given up and burned the lumber in a bonfire. This DIY kit made the whole process possible, and I’m not exaggerating when I say I couldn’t have done it without A-DIY, my fiancé and I have zero building skills and we were able to do it so if you even have no knowledge on what you’re doing like did you can do it.

Use either color code or number code but not both. Do not change color for left or right boards. If we ordered this deck, we are not clueless on construction. Several of the joists did not fit and had to be trimmed to fit over their fitted positions. But the the deck is strong and looks beautiful.

Product was not was advertised. Missing and warped boards. Customer service was good but Product needs to be improved. Directions hard to follow. Had to use more tools then just a drill as advertised.

I absolutely love my deck. From the start, the A DIY team was super helpful. They gave me great advice on what size would work best for my space and made the whole process really smooth.
The kit arrived in about 10 days, packaged securely in a solid case. One of the parts looked a little damaged, so I reached out and they sent me a replacement the very next day. That kind of service is rare these days.
Putting it together was honestly so easy. I built it with my 6 year old and we had a blast doing it together. We took our time, enjoyed the nice weather, and still wrapped it up within a few hours. The lumber quality is solid, clean, and feels really durable.
I ordered the 16 x 20 pressure treated deck and it’s already become my favorite part of the house. I’ve started doing my morning yoga on it and can’t wait to have friends over soon. My husband was away on a business trip and couldn’t believe I built a whole deck myself.
If you're thinking about it, just go for it. Totally worth it.

I don’t usually write reviews but this one deserves it. I had been debating whether to build a deck myself or hire someone and then I stumbled on A-DIY. Best decision I’ve made in a long time.
The entire process was simple. I placed the order and got the kit about a week and a half later. Everything came in a secure, organized case. no mess, no missing parts.
I’m not super handy but the instructions were clear and the pieces were perfectly cut. It really does feel like putting together a giant LEGO set. I ended up doing most of it on my own over the weekend and didn’t need any special tools beyond my drill.
What really impressed me was the customer service. I had a quick question during assembly and someone got back to me almost immediately with a helpful response. You don’t see that kind of support often.
The finished product looks amazing. I ordered the 12 x 16 pressure treated deck and it feels solid, professional, and way more expensive than what I paid. Friends and family have already complimented it and I’ve caught myself just standing outside admiring it.
If you're on the fence, don’t be. This is the easiest, most satisfying project I’ve taken on in years.

Delivery of the product was great.
Installation manual incorrectly labeled the boards but was able to figure of what went where.
I had 2 planks that were smaller than all of the boards but it had no impact on the installation.
Getting the patio leveled was a pain. Did not received the extra 4 x 4 as promised by the person I spoke to when I expressed concerns about the leveling due to the yard before I decided to move forward with the purchase.
A week after installation, one board began curling which was shocking. Reached out to customer support and was told the board must've gotten wet or that not enough spacing between the boards to allow expansion for not enough screws were used. When the pallet arrived, I had it covered until were were ready for installation, all boards were on great shape, however, I did notice some boards were dryer than others. Perhaps the boards were placed together with a small amount of spacing to cause that one board to warp???
Then a few days later there were other boards popping, thankfully the board did not curl, the screws provided were snapping and had to replace with longer screws.
If it wasn't for the one board warping and then screws snapping I would give a better rating.

We use Grade 1 Southern Yellow Pine that’s pressure-treated and kiln-dried—considered among the best for outdoor decking. As with any natural lumber, slight warping can occur once it’s exposed to the elements. However, once the pieces are properly secured, they should remain stable and structurally sound.
We did offer to connect you with one of our design engineers to help troubleshoot the issue, and we truly wish that conversation had happened. If any parts were missing or not up to standard, we would have gladly replaced them—customer satisfaction is our top priority. Based on the photos you shared, it also looks like smaller screws may have been used in some places instead of the deck-specific screws provided. That’s on us—we take responsibility for not making the installation instructions clearer, and we're working to improve them going forward.
