As a full time teacher and mom to twin boys, my photography business that I started in college is tiny but mighty and was developed out of my passion for the art! I don't have the time to spend hours editing like how I learned in art school, but still want the great results of polished, finalized images for my long-term clients who have stuck with me as my time for photos gets less and less. Aftershoot has helped me keep it all afloat so that I am able to still do what I love, but not devoting the lengthy time at the computer that I no longer have. The retouching program is outstanding and gives me back hours that I would devote to those fine details by just moving sliders and making quick clicks of the stylus! The customer service is unmatched and there is always a kind human out there to help, explain and troubleshoot any issues that may arise (special shout out to Steve!!!!) I wouldn't still be doing what I'm doing if it wasn't for Aftershoot!

Aftershoot has been the perfect tool for my business to help create a foundation edit for me to add my own touch to. This is not a one click and done solution to editing but is the perfect place to create some foundational building blocks for you to fine tune. This has reduced my editing time significantly and allows me to generate next day previews far quicker and in greater volume. Making my couples very happy indeed. Since starting to use the software, it has continued to improve with the AI-assisted culling getting better and better. I have encountered one or two issues along the way but nothing that the team has been quick to help with. I continue to train my profile with new edits which ultimately results in a better outcome with every gallery I edit through the software.

Before using aftershoot, it use to take me a long time to deliver my photos to my clients, with aftershoot I am able to shorten that time greatly and it means I can focus on what I enjoy most which it’s taking photographs. Well worth the investment.

What used to take me 30 to 45 minutes of culling now takes Aftershoot just seconds. Even though I still do a final pass myself, it has made this part so much faster and easier so that I can focus on refining final edits. The AI's ability to handle things like flyaways and batch editing are amazing. I was so impressed with the results that I immediately switched over from my previous setup. 10/10 recommend.

As an original founder and long-time user of Aftershoot, I’ve had a front-row seat to its incredible evolution. Initially, what hooked me was the AI culling. I used to struggle terribly with selecting the best shots out of 1,000+ images, and this app was an absolute lifesaver. I was even more elated when they added the ability to edit images directly within the app before exporting them to a folder or Adobe Lightroom. The product as an idea is good, the culling system is very bad for the last 2 yers that i am using has the same problems culling you spend 2 h selectuon picture and if you unselect one pic by mistake and watns an step back , it gives s you the whole selection back, so from 1800 pic that you initially have, and after 2h or selection if you press command z to get back one pic it give s you to initially 1800 not where you were 1500. so annoying of wasting so much time.

I have been using Aftershoot for culling from October 2025 and it's really made the culling process much quicker and faster. I would however love a genre of 'event photography' when culling - that includes decor, documentary photos and also portraits of people at the event. And one more suggestion that would be great is being able to view a photo in the side bar - even if there is no faces. Like decor photos of cropped artistic photos of just hands, maternity belly etc. I recently tried the editing by creating my own profile with previous catalogues and I was super happy with how the app got my style of editing. I had to make minor changes in Lightroom. I still prefer opening up the image in Lightroom for changes. All and all I am super happy with the app. Customer service that I received today as amazing. Thanks. Fast and efficient. And loved that I could speak to a human when asked and not just a robot.

I use Aftershoot for culling. I plan on evaluating the other options after my busy season. My motivation to review is based on my very positive experiences with Aftershoot support. Yes...you get an AI Bot to start. And it's actually pretty good. But you can easily connect with support staff and it's always a positive outcome. Very thorough. Very quick. One of the best online chat experiences you will have.

I made a mistake and they helped me fix it. After three attempts at contacts because of a double charge, they were able to dig deeper and find out that a long time ago I had apparently signed up with an additional email. They helped me find the ghost account that I didn't know existed and merge the two accounts into one. The rep was patient, humorous, and professional while also being efficient. Exactly what someone would hope for in a rep.

It is a good app, but the catalogs it exports make my Lightroom slow. All in all, it is a good help in the overall editing process.

I have loved Aftershoot since I started using it a few years ago. I originally used it just for culling saving me hours of going through images. Once I finally hopped on the editing band wagon, I fell in love! I am even happier with Aftershoot now that retouching has been added. The flyaway removal is a life changer! Amazing product and amazing support. You do not even have to leave the app to get support which is an amazing feature. Any time I have reached out to support they have been more than helpful and pleasant to deal with!
