Happy Client

Have been work with Allan for 3-4 months as a sales VA, his knowledge and experience is very valuable as we are still at start up phase. Hard working and dedicated. Bruntwork support is very helpful also.

would give 0 stars if I could

would give 0 stars if I could. had a very long onboarding process (longer than they had said). They also got the job that I was wanting to provide completely wrong. I also provided them before hand with information letting them know as soon as I sign the contract that I need monitors shipped to them asap, to follow up with that it took them a month to get the orders for the monitors to be shipped off (for only 2 monitors) they also charged me extra on top of the normal monitors. Then after constantly reaching out to them often asking for updates on the shipping they give me notice that the monitors have not been shipped yet (after a month and a half) then they said it will take another few weeks to arrive, so at that point I just decided to send money straight to the va's for them to go and buy one in person (after them telling me it was not advised but seriously what else do they expect me to do wait another month for the monitors they will ship in as the va's couldn't work until they arrived so I was paying both of them the full amount for me not being able to provide them any work not the VA's fault but Bruntworks fault). Horrible service all around would have been 10x easier and less then half the price to source the VA's myself. They did not meet the expectations I had for them as I was expecting if I pay more the easier it will be but it was the complete opposite. If you're looking to get VA's save yourself time and money and headaches and just get the VA's yourself online or use another company.

Hi Levi, I'm sorry to hear about your experience, though without outlining the facts and timelines of everything here, it's surprising to read the details from your end, compared to the communication our team has had with you, and that you initially rated the agent selection process, CSM communication, and day 1 agent preparation for your job highly on our internal customer satisfaction survey during onboarding. Happy to discuss more directly with you clarifying your concerns and if there's a better resolution that we've missed on our part - feel free to request my contact details from your Client Success Manager (ask for my name) for a direct chat. - Winston.

False promises and poor communication

Firstly, they didn’t mention you in the first place that they didn’t hire people from specific countries for example Like mine -Croatia. Honestly, whole process feels quite unprofessional. They reached out saying that they was excited and ready to move forward (interview), and after all this waiting, they’ve decided not to move forward for the role at all. It’s extremely disappointing to be given mixed messages like this. I value transparency and professionalism, and I believe candidates deserve clearer communication. It is not acceptable to reach out, create expectations, and then completely change the story.

Hi Sara, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed with your experience. After reviewing your application for the role, we can confirm that your profile was successfully submitted, and we were awaiting the client’s interview schedule. Unfortunately, the client made a business decision to cancel the position entirely before the interviews proceeded. Our recruiter kept you informed throughout the process and made no promises regarding a final offer, as hiring decisions rest solely with the client. That said, we recognise how disappointing sudden changes like this can be, and we’ll continue working to ensure clear, proactive communication with all candidates. We genuinely appreciate your understanding and wish you the very best in your job search.

Extremely Unprofessional Experience

I had a very disappointing experience with BruntWork. We had a scheduled interview, and since I’m based in Italy, it was set for 2:45 AM my time. I made sure to wake up and prepare, only to find a cancellation message just minutes before the scheduled time — with no prior notice, explanation, or follow-up. This kind of last-minute cancellation shows a complete lack of respect for candidates’ time and effort. If this is how they treat potential team members, I can only imagine what their internal professionalism must be like. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate experience overall.

Reply from BruntWork2025-10-25

Hi Iman, Firstly, we are sorry for your experience. We're still investigating what happened and will email you a complete breakdown once we have it. What we know so far: the client cancelled on us last minute. When that happens, we're stuck cancelling on you too—otherwise you would turn up and the client would not be there, which would be an even bigger waste of time. We want to handle this better. If a client cancels last minute due to an emergency or other reason beyond our control, what would've made the experience less frustrating for you? Your input helps us fix the process. We don't want 1-star reviews, but we try our best to coordinate interviews between you and the client. If the client cancels, then how do we improve this? Please let us know what we could have done differently and better for you.

Hired from UK

Great company, worth working with. I hired one person through them, but unfortunately, he decided to leave halfway through his shift. I informed Brutnwork right away, and they worked hard to find me a replacement. In the end, I decided not to continue and requested a refund. It took a few weeks, but they did refund me in full with no issues. If I need someone in the future, I’ll definitely use them again. I’ve given 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the delay in receiving the refund but apart from that, they are reliable and do pay money back without problems.

Reply from BruntWork2025-09-23

We appreciate your honest feedback and are glad we could resolve things with a full refund, even if it took longer than we’d like. While we regret the initial setback with your first hire, it’s encouraging to know our team’s effort to support you left a positive impression. We’ll keep working to improve our processes so that your next experience with BruntWork is seamless from start to finish. The BruntWork Team

Beware the initial Enthusiasm

Update: Adding one star to the previous 2-star review in light of what’s happened since the original Jul 23 review. I was contacted by the rep who apologized and offered to recruit more candidates. The owner also returned my deposit-part of the agreement. And refunded the 3 weeks of July worked by the EA, which was decent. Lesson learned: I will be doing my own vetting and hiring of remote team members in the foreseeable future. —————- Enthusiastic representatives who promise qualified candidates. Responsive during the honeymoon phase when they are winning your business. Took 2-3 weeks for there to be candidates. I selected someone from the first batch, signed the contract and paid the $ required within 60 min of notifying the rep of my selection 30 min after the interview. They processed my credit card immediately (very quick with this) and then came back 12 hours later to tell me someone else had hired her. I should have taken that as a sign. Nonetheless, I selected someone from the second batch and realized within the first 2 weeks that she did not have the skills or experience that I listed. I thought it was perhaps a difference in style. So I proceeded to coach her. But by week 4 it became apparent she had not worked in an executive assistant role nor had she had experience with meeting coordination or event planning. To be fair, she was moderately successful with one administrative task that I assigned her that took her the good part of 3 weeks. I decided that it was adding more work on my plate to train an inexperienced person after week 6. I contacted my client success manager who definitely took more than 1 business day to respond and spoke with her about a replacement July 11. I have yet to receive an email on the status of the recruitment or any contact. It is July 25. I have sent 3 emails: July 22, 24 and 25. Since senior leadership has a great track record of responding to negative reviews here. This appears to be the only reliable way to get a response from this company. If you’re still reading this. Beware.

Hi Jacqui, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we’re truly sorry that we let you down. What you described is not the standard of service we aim to provide, and we fully acknowledge the missteps throughout your recruitment experience. We also want to apologise for the delay in our response. We felt it was important to first take meaningful action to address your concerns before formally replying to your review, and to ensure we could demonstrate tangible steps toward resolution. From the delay in viable candidates to the communication gaps and the mismatch in skill fit, we understand how frustrating and disappointing this must have been. You trusted us to deliver, and we fell short. Since then, we’ve taken action to make things right: we’ve processed a credit note, requested a full reversal of your July invoice as a gesture of goodwill, and have adjusted our recruitment efforts to prioritise more suitable and reliable candidates. We’re grateful that you were open to reconnecting, and we remain committed to earning back your trust by delivering profiles that truly meet your expectations. If you feel your concerns have been addressed and the situation has improved, we’d be thankful if you’d consider updating your review. But regardless, we appreciate your feedback and are using it to improve. – The BruntWork Team

Misleading, coercive onboarding — avoid if you value your time and rights

My experience with BruntWork was frustrating and unprofessional. Even though I never signed a contract or formally accepted a role, BruntWork pressured me into onboarding by sending repeated emails and messages. They tried to force me into accepting a job and blocked me from applying to any other opportunities when I declined. BruntWork also includes strict legal terms trying to prevent freelancers from speaking directly to clients about pay or work, threatening legal action if you do. This creates a culture of fear and control that feels exploitative. If you value your time and rights as a freelancer, be cautious with BruntWork. Their practices don’t respect workers’ boundaries or consent, and they use manipulative tactics to push you into agreements you never formally made.

Reply from BruntWork2025-06-25

Hi Florencia Sepulveda, Thanks for taking the time to share your perspective. I personally reviewed every email thread between you and our team, including the ones you quoted. What I saw were three routine follow-ups asking whether you intended to accept the client’s offer; if you weren’t interested, we needed to release the role to the next shortlisted candidate. That isn’t “pressure” or “coercion”—it’s standard hiring etiquette for any agency trying to respect everyone’s time. On confidentiality: Every reputable BPO bars contractors from disclosing client pay rates and internal terms. These clauses aren’t designed to “threaten” anyone; they protect our clients’ commercial data and our workers’ own privacy. If that truly fostered a “culture of fear,” we wouldn’t be: - reviewing about 70,000 resumés a month; - processing over 700,000 active candidates in our pool; - sitting on nearly 1,000 Glassdoor reviews, 1,000 Trustpilot reviews, and a comparable number of Google reviews, the overwhelming majority are positive; - and placing roughly 650 new staff every single month. Those numbers only happen when people feel respected, paid on time, and treated fairly. I’m sorry our workflow felt “too full-on” for you, but it’s the same onboarding/offboarding process thousands of agents have completed without issue. If you felt uncomfortable, we’re clearly not a fit—and that’s fine. What isn’t fine is saying we “forced” you into anything when you had (and exercised) the option to decline. If you still believe we missed something, email me directly at [email protected] and I’ll look into it personally. Otherwise, best of luck in a different line of work that better matches your expectations. Adam Pisk Co-Founder, BruntWork.co

Stay away from this company

What a horrible and long experience with BruntWork. I run a law firm and wanted to get another assistant, remote this time, to help with some work on a part time basis. Fluency in English of course is non negotiable. When I originally reached out I was promised both in writing and verbally that it takes about 24-48h to find good candidates and that the process is seamless. They claim to have placed over 600,000 candidates which given my experience I very much doubt. It took over a month to be given low level candidates, some of which barely spoke English. I wanted to interview one but on the day of the interview he apparently decided he doesn't wish to work. When I asked to interview another, I was told she wasn't interested in working either anymore. Out of only four candidates in a month's time, two were "not willing to work" and the other two didn't speak English. For some reason they kept also sending candidates whose first language was Spanish even though I never asked for Spanish speaking individuals nor was this a prerequisite for working with us. When I inquired about this I wasn't met with any reply. When I told the representatives that I was concerned about their behavior and misrepresentations that they post in their brochures I was told to be "respectful". I don't take false statements lightly so I'm leaving this review to warn others before they waste their time.

Thank you for your feedback. We'd like to provide readers with the factual timeline of events for this engagement. To clarify your points: We maintain over 600,000 candidates in our database—this is our talent pool, not placement numbers. We don't guarantee 24-48 hour delivery, though our average is typically one day. Specialised roles like part-time legal associates require more targeted sourcing. Our recruitment services are provided entirely free of charge to clients. Here are the documented facts: April 28: Your part-time Legal Assistant role opened. May 1-2: We endorsed two LATAM legal professionals with relevant experience. You requested more candidates. May 5-6: We sourced additional candidates and scheduled an interview. May 7: Candidate withdrew, citing the £5/hour rate. We immediately continued searching. May 8-9: We endorsed Daniela (bilingual, strong legal background) and queued another candidate. May 9-16: You became completely unresponsive despite our follow-up attempts. We closed the job due to no client communication. May 27: You reappeared after 2+ weeks, citing surgery, requesting urgent interviews. May 28: Daniela was no longer available. We offered Christine (Political Science graduate, relevant experience). You refused to interview her and demanded only Daniela. Throughout this process, we provided our services at no cost, sourced multiple qualified candidates, and maintained professional communication. When you raised concerns about "misleading information," we note that all details provided were accurate. Our candidates are English-speaking professionals from our global talent pool—at a £5/hour rate point, varying accents are expected while maintaining professional communication standards (particularly for part-time candidates). The timeline demonstrates our commitment to finding suitable candidates despite operational challenges, including candidate withdrawal due to compensation levels and extended client non-responsiveness.

Reply from BruntWork2025-04-28

This review is demonstrably false. Belle was present for the scheduled meeting as confirmed by our system logs and meeting records. In fact, our records show you were the one who missed the meeting entirely. Our team sent multiple SMS and email messages attempting to reschedule after your no-show, which you've conveniently omitted from your review. We would have been happy to reschedule at your convenience, as we do for all our clients. We have timestamped evidence of both our communications and meeting attendance to verify this. Our team's professionalism and reliability are cornerstones of BruntWork's success as the fastest growing outsourcing company globally, and we stand firmly behind Belle's professional conduct.

We worked with this company and went…

We worked with this company and went through 4 or 5 different workers—most of whom were constantly sick or have no clue what they were doing. None of them seemed to be properly vetted or pre-screened, which led to a lot of wasted time and frustration on our end. But the real issue started when we asked for our $2,177 deposit back. They promised the refund would be issued "in two weeks"—that was over month ago. we stoped working with this company for over 3 month now. Since then, it's been nothing but delays and empty promises. At this point, it’s clear they’re just stringing us along. If you’re thinking of working with this company and value your time and money, stay far away.

This review contains several inaccuracies about our business practices that need correction. BruntWork only requests a deposit after you've personally interviewed and approved a candidate that we've thoroughly vetted for your specific needs. We never charge upfront without delivering value first. Our process is designed to protect both clients and candidates - you only proceed with financial commitment after you've met your potential team member and decided they're the right fit. This transparent approach has helped us become the fastest growing outsourcing company globally, with thousands of successful placements. The claims made in this review simply don't reflect our actual business model. We invite anyone interested in our services to contact us directly to learn about our actual process and commitment to client satisfaction.

Absolutely terrible experience

Absolutely terrible experience, a waste of months of training, work and money - contact me for details.

I understand your frustration, but I feel it's important to clarify several key facts about our work together: Your agent, Kaye received excellent feedback from you throughout her engagement, including a perfect 10/10 rating and a bonus. When she unexpectedly resigned due to personal circumstances (having a newborn), we immediately took action to support you despite this being outside our control. We provided significant financial concessions including: - Cancelling your January invoice - Waiving your December invoice entirely - Refunding your full security deposit We also offered free training hours from Kaye and 24 hours of complimentary credit for a new staff member - all of which you declined. Despite multiple attempts to schedule a meeting to resolve any remaining concerns, we received no response to our communications. We're disappointed that you've characterized this as a "terrible experience" when we went far beyond standard business practices to accommodate your situation. Our staff deserve fair compensation for work performed, which is a basic principle in any relationship. We remain open to constructive dialogue should you wish to discuss this further.

They connected me with a fabulous VA. I wasn't super happy with some of the communication that Bruntwork had with her (lack of transparency on their end), but she did a great job.

Reply from BruntWork2025-03-26

Thank you for your feedback! We're delighted to hear your VA is doing fabulous work - that's our ultimate goal and it's wonderful when these partnerships succeed. I appreciate your candid comments about our communication. While we strive for complete transparency between all parties, it sounds like we fell short in some aspects of our interaction with your VA. This is valuable feedback that helps us improve. The success of your working relationship with your VA is what matters most, but we also want to ensure the experience is smooth from all angles. We'll take your input to heart as we continue refining our processes. If you have any specific suggestions on how we can improve our communication approach, we'd love to hear them. Thanks again for sharing both the positive outcome and the area where we can do better!

I wish I should give them 4.5 stars…

I wish I should give them 4.5 stars because it was an enjoyable experience even though I only used Bruntwork for a short period. PRO: - LOVED the onboarding system and how easy they made it to interview candidates. I was very impressed with all the candidates they choose for me. - LOVED that if a candidate didn't work out, that they were quick to suggest replacing them. - VERY professional with the way they handled my emails and difficult situations. CON: - I was a little disappointed on the level productive work that my employee did. I felt they needed constant attention when I really wanted someone who was more willing to take the reigns. - A 30 day notice of termination is quite a long time in the event that a candidate doesn't work out. I feel 2 weeks would be more adequate. In the end, I decided I needed to hire someone locally not virtually so I terminated my relationship but it was pretty positive in the way that Bruntwork as a company functions.

Thank you for your thoughtful and balanced review! We really appreciate you taking the time to share both the highlights and areas for improvement from your experience with BruntWork. It's great to hear you enjoyed our onboarding system and candidate selection process. We put significant effort into making these initial steps seamless and finding quality matches for our clients' needs. Your feedback about our professional handling of communications and difficult situations is also valued - we strive to maintain high standards in all our interactions. Regarding your concerns, I understand your point about needing more proactive, self-directed staff. While we try to match skills and working styles, finding that perfect balance of independence and alignment can sometimes take time. We'll take this feedback to continue improving our matching process. The 30-day notice policy is something we're always evaluating to balance business continuity with client flexibility. Your suggestion for a shorter period is noted and appreciated. Though you've moved toward local hiring, we're glad your overall impression of working with us was positive. Should your needs change in the future, we'd be happy to work with you again, incorporating the valuable feedback you've provided.
