This call service has been extremely helpful for me as someone living abroad. I never thought I wouldn't be able to call an 800 number from my phone. I need to call 800 numbers often for many reasons. This system is amazing. The calls are clean, never drop, and are very affordable. Their customer service is amazing, too. I highly recommend this service to anyone living abroad.
all I had to do was specify the European number I needed to call Callshake was smart enough not to require only the country code and number ...Skype used to insist on extra zeros and ones preceding the number. Callshake looked at my system and the outgoing line options I have and just went ahead ...smoothly. I like the option to specify Record or get a text log. I was calling a traditional land line and sound quality was good with no noticeable latency.

I had a technical issue, being blocked from the site, contacted support, and had an incredibly fast email response (on a Sunday!) from Sky, the founder - my issue was resolved very quickly, and I was able to use the service again. Will continue to use it!

I’m giving Callshake 5 stars for their helpful customer service. I was having trouble hearing anyone when the call connected. Jake got back to me quickly and suggested a number of possible reasons for the issue, including that my browser settings might need adjusting. Based on his suggestion, I tried a different browser and everything worked very well. I’m really happy with the quick, accurate advice I received.
Everything works great and very cheap calling. I called my bank in the USA from the Philippines and no problems and very clear calling and was able to take care of a problem at my bank.
A great new replacement for skype.
I had depended on Skype for international calls. I needed a replacement when Skype wound up. Callshake fits the bill. Its simple, fast and with clear calls. Also, I needed some technical support before I could set up the account - which was timely and excellent (better than Skype!). My experience with the desktop interface was equally satisfactory - intuitive, easy and fast.

Callshake is a Godsend! After the death of Skype, it's been impossible to find an affordable and effective solution to call landlines around the world. I signed up for Callshake, deposited $10, and was able to call the US and Ireland from my laptop (currently in Taiwan). The call quality was great, and the interface was clear, simple, and easy to use. The rate was super-affordable.
