Awful, drawing was awful, ordered 10th September and had to chase it and finally I messaged on 29th October at 9.45am and got a message at 8pm saying they would send it over and did….i was actually very upset by it. It looked nothing like my mum who had passed away in may and never got to meet my baby born in the August and I just wanted a picture of them together. I was so disappointed and I showed people hoping it was just me not thinking it was right and so many people have made bad comments on it. Wish I could add a photo up of it. They keep removing my comment as don’t like my honest review. Mine was very rushed I’d say and the hand on the drawing is awful. I’d rather them have said it’s not done yet give us a x amount of time and we’ll get it to you. I wouldn’t have minded. I’m just upset I paid for something I will never put on show sadly.
Beautiful drawing but poor communication and delayed delivery time
Initially my experience with Charlie’s didn’t go smoothly as their communication regarding delivery time and the progress of my order dropped off and my emails were not replied to. However I am very happy with the final result, I complained and they immediately sent me the digital copy of the portrait on the 23 December, just in time for my friends birthday the following day. This did mean there wasn’t any time for alterations but fortunately the portrait didn’t need any. The said they’d ship the printed portrait immediately but I am still waiting to receive this and my emails requesting an update have gone unanswered again. I will follow up and hopefully receive the actually drawing soon.

Sent over 3 separate photos to combine and in just a couple of days i was sent the final drawing that really took my breath away. So easy to choose what i wanted from a vast selection of choices. Prices were reasonable. This is the second time i have used Charlie for a drawing and would highly recommend it

We had an issue with our present which was completely our fault, I got in touch on Christmas Eve and by 7am Christmas Day I had an updated drawing which was perfect, great communication

We lost our frenchie ( lady Lola ) in August and wanted a picture of her and my husband. I gave them 2 separate pictures and couldn’t believe how beautiful it was. Was a Christmas present for my husband which left him in tears. Absolutely stunning.

Paid for my portrait of my mother in…
Paid for my portrait of my mother in law who passed with my 2 kids and when I received it, it looked nothing like any of the people I sent through. Got it re done which took another 2-3 weeks received it on Christmas Eve and it’s even worse than the first one. I am definitely not happy and will never use them again. I used these people 2 years ago and the portrait was perfect. I want a refund of my money I’ve wasted, and now nothing to gift this person.
Such a terrible experience
Updated review: I am updating this review to clarify the facts, as the seller’s public response does not reflect my experience. The issue is not postal delays. The issue is poor communication and missed delivery commitments. The order was placed on 1 December , with the website stating delivery would take 1–2 weeks. The first drawing was not completed until 17 November, and it was not what I requested. A revised version was sent the following day and approved only due to concern about timing. The seller claims the item was sent on 18 December , yet no tracking number has ever been provided, despite repeated requests. As a result, I still cannot confirm whether the item was dispatched at all. I have contacted the seller multiple times via email and WhatsApp. Emails have bounced back, responses (when received) have taken several days, and several messages remain unanswered, including my most recent request for the tracking number. At the time of writing, I am still waiting for a response. While the seller was able to respond publicly on this platform, private messages seeking basic information about the order have gone unanswered. This demonstrates that the issue is not availability, but selective communication. We went into Christmas without the gift, which was extremely disappointing. Having since read other reviews, it appears that delayed responses, lack of tracking information, and non-delivery are recurring issues for multiple customers.

To clarify the timeline, your portrait was completed and shipped well ahead of Christmas, and the courier confirmed a pre-Christmas delivery date at the time of dispatch. Unfortunately, during the Christmas period courier networks are extremely overrun, and once an order is in the courier’s possession, delays can occur that are outside of our direct control. That said, we absolutely appreciate how important this gift was to you, and we’re very sorry for the stress this caused. Our team checks courier portals daily during peak periods and continues to follow up on delayed shipments. We also apologise if you felt communication was slower than expected — December is our busiest period of the year, but we do respond to every message and email as quickly as possible. AVOID! I made an order at the beginning of…
I made an order at the beginning of November which still hasn’t arrived. I have tried to contact by email, WhatsApp but I am being ignored. I was promised to receive 3 days ago but nothing. The worst customer care experience I have ever had. Avoid!

Hi Megan, i would like to clear up a few facts that you have omitted in your reveiw. On the 3rd of December when your portrait was sent to you for review you admitted that you had made a mistake and requested a change which we agreed to at no extra cost and did your portrait for you. We then shipped it and the courier could not deliver it to you after multiple attempts due to your house being a new build which is certainly no fault of ours. So all of these issues have led to a delay. Your review is misleading as it doesnt detail all of this. We then agreed to send you the digital files.

Ordered 1st December. Got told on the 11th my order was due to be completed that day. Received an email on the 17th with my completed picture and was told they will get it shipped and should arrive by the 22nd I’m yet to receive it. I had little to no communication on my order and was getting ignored until I messaged that I wanted a full refund and I got a message back with in under 5 minutes! I’ve emailed again today to ask if my order will be here before Christmas as it’s a present for a family member and haven’t had a reply. Very disappointing and they need to improve on how they treat customers and keep them updated with orders as I would’ve gone elsewhere by now or used my money on something else

We did inform all customers that communication may be a little slow as we have been inundated with orders and messages during the Christmas period but that we were still working hard on your portraits. We give an approximate time for finalising your portrait of 10 days. We pride ourselves on high quality hand drawn portraits and sometimes they take a little longer to perfect. We were very happy to hear that you were extremely happy with the portrait we did for you on the 17th and we shipped it on the same day as soon as we had your confirmation that we could go ahead. We have checked on your order and its still due to arrive today and so you will have it before Christmas.
Would recommend and great customer service
Had ordered a picture and whilst the first version was good it needed tweaking. I messaged and they responded quickly and resent it. The second version was amazing. Very pleased with the result, thank you

Tears in my eyes
truly remarkable what they’ve done, I have purchased from them 2 other time before this one and I cried looking at this portrait, my grandparents have never met their great grandchildren and to see a picture of them so clear and all together truly made me cry. I’m so thankful for Charlie’s drawing, they made fine adjustments went it wasn’t just right for me, which was even better than expected. I cannot wait to see what else I’ll order from them but I know it will be beautiful
