Shady company that farms you for data
Shady company that farms you for data. I emailed customer service with a simple question. After pushing past their AI generated email, I was told they would not answer my question without me giving them my full name, phone number, date of birth, driver's license number, *and the last 4 digits of my SSN*. *Edit because they clearly still don't understand. I am not running or receiving a background check. I don't even have an account with them. I was asking a question to customer service.

My experience with Checkr has been extremely frustrating. Everything started in May 2026, and now we are at the end of July 2026, yet my background check is still not complete. I am a military veteran, and I honestly don’t understand why this process is taking so long. I have previously held a military security clearance, so it’s difficult to understand what could possibly require months to verify. This unnecessary delay has been stressful and has negatively affected my employment opportunities. I simply want my background check to be completed in a timely and fair manner. I hope Checkr can resolve this issue as soon as possible. I would not recommend this experience based on the excessive delays and lack of resolution. I hope Checkr improves its process for future applicants.
