These are truly exceptional knives made by old world artisans

These are truly exceptional knives, crafted by old-world artisans who clearly take pride in their work. My uncle, a metalologist, first introduced me to this style of craftsmanship and helped me understand the difference between mass production and genuine artisan work. Once you experience it, you can’t go back. I do a lot of cooking and tend to be a bit heavy-handed in the kitchen, pushing through tasks quickly. These knives changed that. They glide through ingredients so effortlessly that they actually make me slow down, pay attention, and appreciate the process. They elevate the entire cooking experience and make the work feel more intentional and refined. It’s important to understand that these are not mass-produced items sitting on a warehouse shelf. Each piece is made individually, and there can be a wait period. Patience is part of the process — and in my opinion, well worth it. While communication updates could be a bit more proactive, whenever I’ve logged in to inquire about my order, the responses have been straightforward and honest. I highly recommend them. If you value craftsmanship, performance, and the art of cooking, these knives are a remarkable investment. One last thing. Follow the cleaning and care instructions. Dry them after every use and sharpen them using a stone, not a machine.

chubo knife and packaging were very good

knife and packaging were very, very good. delivery was 23 days from order, which was somewhat unexpected, although other reviews also mentioned this fact. never found out how to track delivery, but chubo did advise when knife was shipped.

I don’t have my order

Best knife I ever owned

It's shipping from Japan

It's shipping from Japan. Really great service and tracking.

Great knife, simple, fast experience but shipping communication needs improvement

Solid experience overall, the knife arrived super fast, especially so close to Christmas and was exactly as it looked in the images online. It's performing beautifully. Sadly, as other reviewers mention, there was no communication on shipping times or details when ordered which is such a simple problem to solve - get onto it Chubo!
