Chubo may or may not ship your purchase
I placed an order for multiple items that were listed as "In Stock" on December 7, 2025. All were Christmas gifts for my father-in-law. On Friday the 19th I still hadn't seen a tracking number, so I emailed Chubo. Jeremy wrote me back and said they should have shipped but hadn't yet. He said they would ship on Monday, Dec 22 with priority shipping. It is now Wednesday in Japan and still FedEx is still waiting to receive the package. I have no gift to bring my extremely generous Japanese father-in-law and these guys are screwed me. I would never buy from this site again, and I advise you don't either. Over two weeks to ship an item and say "Oopsie! We forgot." What a joke. In their reply they tell me "expedited shipping," excuse me but wtf does that matter when you are already weeks late and then tell me in an email, "apologies it won't make it in time for Christmas." They have had weeks to tell me this. Crap.

Be patient for delivery
Alerted when the item became available for purchase. It didn’t ship for about a week but then i got notified of tracking number. Took about 2 weeks to arrive from purchase date (from Japan!) and knife is fantastic.

Great knife and shipping
First time ordering from Chubo. I expected shipping to take a while, but my knife arrived a week after ordering (to the US). Knife arrived packaged well. It’s beautiful and I can’t wait to use it!! It’s extremely sharp and super shiny. I will definitely be buying from here again.

VERY BAD SHIPPING SERVICE
They haven’t sent me the tracking number for my order. The app says that my order is being prepared, but they don’t reply and don’t give me any information. Very bad shipping service.

Good overall experience
Happy with my order. My order shipping out was a little delayed but when I reached out I got a quick reply from customer service and they let me know when my order would ship and everything else went smoothly. My shipment was also well packaged so it wouldn't get damaged during shipment which I always appreciate. I would recommend buying from Chubo and will shop with them again.
