Sophie enjoyed her 4 weeks in Antibes

Sophie enjoyed her 4 weeks in Antibes, doing the essential programme, there were trips, discos and visits to Nice and Cannes. Also allowed out, as 15 year olds to visit the area and explore as well as make friends. She also enjoyed swimming and also had small classes to enhance her knowledge of French. She is a very shy girl, so this was definitely out of her comfort zone prior to this, but the animators definitely helped make her feel at home. She has said that it has helped her understanding of Grammar, hopefully this will help with her GCSE French exam in 2025. Sophie is looking forward to going again, as she had so much fun, instead of getting bored at home in the summer holidays.

It’s wonderful to know that our team helped her feel comfortable and at home. We're confident that her time with us will boost her confidence in French and help with her GCSE exam. We’d love to welcome Sophie back next summer for more fun and learning! 😊 Catarina and the Team at the Centre International d'Antibes

Good experience for the kids. Professional team on the ground. Food left to be desired. Uncomfortable disposable bedding. Need a go-to person in case of medical emergencies

The marketing team was very efficient and responsive during the enrolment. The team at the camp was working well and my daughter was happy with the overall experience. She made many friend and enjoyed her independence exploring Antibes and the neighbouring towns. I appreciate that the camp provided buses to drive kids into town, however children also opted for using the public transport. The big drawback that will probably affect my decision for the next year is the FOOD. My daughter could hardly eat any of the offered meals and often had to buy snacks while in town. Apparently, her friends had the similar experience and all of them highlighted this in their feedback forms. The second drawback while at the campus was the disposable bedding, which was very uncomfortable. I believe the kids also pointed this out in their feedback. As to the academic experience, personally I think that three hours is not enough and that the standard should be 3 hours before lunch and 2 hours after. My daughter had to go to the doctor at some point. I would have appreciated if there were a go-to person in medical emergencies, as I had to go through a marketing person to communicate with the team on the ground to arrange for a doctor visit.

Bonjour, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback on your daughter’s experience at our camp. We are delighted to hear that she enjoyed her stay, made new friends, and embraced her independence while exploring Antibes and the surrounding towns. These moments are vital for the personal and social growth of our students, and we’re glad she was able to benefit from them. Regarding the meals, we are truly sorry to hear that the quality of the food did not meet your expectations. The well-being and satisfaction of our students are our top priorities. We work closely with our catering partners to offer a variety of balanced meals. Your feedback will be shared with our catering team, and we will continue to make efforts to improve the dining experience for all our students. As for the disposable bedding, we would like to clarify that this measure was introduced 10 years ago to ensure hygiene for all our students. However, we understand that it may have been uncomfortable for your daughter. Students are welcome to bring their own bedding if they prefer additional comfort during their stay. On the academic side, we have noted your comments regarding the class duration. We do offer an intensive course option, which includes an additional hour of class each day, allowing students to benefit from a more in-depth and personalized learning experience. We sincerely hope that, despite these inconveniences, your daughter enjoyed her time with us overall. We would be honored to have another opportunity to welcome her back to our camp. Rest assured, we will do everything possible to ensure an even more enriching experience that fully meets your expectations. Thank you once again for your valuable feedback, which helps us continuously improve the quality of our services. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or need additional information. Best regards, The team at the Centre International d'Antibes

Language camp organized in Antibes-Horticole is not to be advised

This school and the camp organized in Horticole represented low level of quality as it comes to language education system, but above all the camp organization: 1. My 12-year-old daughter was left alone on a beach just because she was chatting with an older group at the time, when the animator and a responsible person for her group left 2. Teenagers, who could leave the camp independently, were informed about the busses returning to the campsite at a certain time. When a few of them arrived it turned out that the animals decided it was too hot to stay on the beach as they planned and changed the busses return time without informing the rest of the group, so wasn't on the beach. They had to take a public transpiration to return to the campsite 3. Even though the rooms are left on Saturday by students returning home, till Sunday 5 pm they were not cleaned and ready to welcome newcomers 4. There were no vegetables throughout the whole camp! Fruit were served only during one meal and the portions were limited (e.g. 2 slices of watermelon or of a pineapple). The food was in general of a low quality. No comparison to a healthy and balanced diet. 5. Everything what was discussed with an administration before the camp turned out not to be conveyed to the camp team, therefore there were multiple discussions onsite to adjust to previously taken agreements 6. There were initial language assessment tests at the beginning of the camp, but there was no checkpoint at the end, proving any progress. 7. General low room standards. Temperature in the top floor rooms exceeded 30 degrees day and night and there was 1 fan provided per room. 8. The crew of animators and teachers changed every week, so there was no continuity, creating often chaos and miscommunication. I could list a few more examples, but in my opinion less important in the overall picture. I can definitely say one thing: my kids were already on language camps in Germany to learn German and from the moment of crossing the entrance door to the camp they represented 300% better quality as this camp. My kids wanted to return and were motivated to learn the language, which is the main point of a Lantus camp. This camp was hectic, unorganized, unplanned, immature. My kids don't want to ever go back. Seems like the organizers charge the money rather for the fact of being located in Antibes, not the education itself. General impression: I don't recommend! My kids won't go there second time

Bonjour, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are truly sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. Your comments are very valuable to us and allow us to continuously reflect on improving our services. The safety of our students is our top priority, and it is concerning that incidents such as those you described, including the lack of supervision on the beach and changes in transportation schedules, occurred. We will carefully review these issues to ensure that our team rigorously follows our supervision and communication protocols. This does not reflect the level of attentiveness we strive for. Regarding the overall organization, we have noted your comments on room cleanliness upon arrival and the meals. We do our utmost to offer a varied and balanced diet, including vegetables and fruits at every meal, but we understand that your expectations may not have been fully met. We will continue to monitor and improve the quality of our catering services. As for the supervision, while some animators may change due to the duration of their contracts, there is continuity in overall management thanks to our site coordinators, who are present throughout the camp. We are committed to ensuring that every student feels well supervised and supported during their stay, and we regret if this was not your impression. Finally, we understand that certain aspects, such as the assessment of language progress, may not have fully satisfied you. We always provide certificates indicating the language level at the end of the stay, but we will take your feedback into account to enhance tracking and communication in this regard. We regret that certain aspects of your stay led to dissatisfaction, and we will do everything we can to prevent such situations from occurring in the future. Your feedback helps us improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to regain your trust. If you have any further questions or would like to discuss your concerns in more detail, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. We would be happy to provide any assistance you may need. Best regards, Catarina and the team at Centre International d’Antibes

Not good value for money.

One of the student helpers was very rude to my friend's 11 year old son when he asked for his football back, there were only 4 mornings of teaching, the food was almost inedible and, in extremely high temperatures, my child's room had a broken fan (which was replaced). It also turns out that the swimming pool shown in all the marketing pictures was at a different campus to the one my daughter was staying at and was a small, 'temporary' pool. Very disappointing as she was looking forward to spending regular time in the pool but it was really pretty inaccessible to her. I feel like we did not buy what we were sold! When you are paying this amount I would expect A/C in the rooms, decent food and more teaching time. We will look for a different place next time.

Bonjour, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are truly sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. First, regarding the teaching schedule, we understand your disappointment with the number of lessons. However, the first Monday of every program is dedicated to a placement test to ensure each student is placed in the correct level. This process is essential to providing an optimal learning experience for all students. As for the meals, we are sorry that the food did not meet your expectations. The well-being of our students is our top priority, and we work closely with our catering providers to deliver high-quality meals. Your comments will be passed on, and we will continue to strive for improvements. We are also very sorry about the discomfort caused by the heat. This summer saw an exceptional heatwave, and we understand how difficult it must have been for your child. The campus you stayed at is a state-run boarding school that operates year-round, and unfortunately, it does not allow for permanent air conditioning. However, to ensure the comfort of our students, we do provide fans in every room. We regret that the fan in your child's room was initially broken, but we are glad it was promptly replaced. We will certainly do our best to prevent such issues from occurring in the future. We are particularly concerned about the interaction you mentioned between one of our staff members and your friend’s son. This is not at all the standard of care we aim to provide, and we will be looking into this matter immediately. Please know that our priority is to foster a safe and respectful environment for all of our students, and we sincerely apologize if that was not the case here. Once again, we are very sorry for the inconvenience you experienced. We hope you will give us another opportunity to provide your child with the enriching, enjoyable experience we strive for. Kind regards, The team at Centre International d'Antibes

Concentrates only on making money out of the parents and children

Unfortunately this place is very much concentrated on making money rather than providing service. The food was terrible and the kids were hungry so spent their pocket money on buying food, water was chalky and the water filter machine was not accessible ( in a locked room ) except meal times - the kids had to spend their money on water which seemed to have been the the aim of the camp ( it was July over +30 C degrees every day ). When the kids run out money the parents had to send money through the only way the camp offered - through their account which charged a hefty 50 euros. The people who looked after the kids were nice enough but the management seemed only care about making money. The kids had to wait for 6 hours to be picked up from the airport by waiting for the others to arrive so the camp does the picking up service once a day, perhaps? The wifi was picked up in only 1 small spot at the camp, ending up costing worried parents a lot by making international calls. Most activities had to be paid for by the kids - 2 were included rest had to be paid for otherwise could not participate but to stay at the camp hanging around.

Bonjour, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely regret to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we would like to address the points you have raised. We are sorry to hear that the meals did not satisfy your child. We are committed to offering a variety of healthy and balanced options suitable for our international students. For lunch and dinner, we provide a range of options including salads/starters, a hot meal with a vegetarian option, cheese, yogurt, dessert, fruit, and bread. Please rest assured that all the water in our programs is drinkable. We also provide water fountains, and we regret if your child found it difficult to access them outside of mealtimes. We will review the situation to ensure that water is more easily available throughout the day. For pocket money, we recommend that parents either provide their children with a card or send money via Western Union. If parents opt to send money through our administration, there is indeed a management fee, and we always make this clear in advance. We understand that this might not have been ideal in your situation, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. Regarding the waiting time at the airport, our maximum waiting time is 2 hours. We have a dedicated team at each terminal of Nice airport to greet students, and regular shuttles are organized throughout the day and night on Saturdays and Sundays to accommodate our international arrivals. While we do provide Wi-Fi in designated areas, we understand that it may not have been sufficient for your child’s needs. If students need to contact their parents, our team is always available to assist them in making a call using a phone from our company. We offer a variety of included activities, and while some additional activities come at an extra cost, we do strive to provide options for all students to participate without feeling left out. We aim to create a fun and engaging experience for all, and we regret if this wasn't the case for your child. We truly value your feedback as it helps us improve our services. Our primary goal is to provide a safe, educational, and enjoyable environment for all our students. If you would like to discuss your concerns further, please don't hesitate to contact us directly. Best regards, Catarina & the team at Centre International d’Antibes

Very disappointed

My daughter was very disappointed. The regular rooms were tiny, depressing and boiling hot with no ventilation. She asked for a fan, without success. Showers were dirty. All that for a lot of money. Never again.

Bonjour, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your daughter’s experience did not meet your expectations. We take your concerns seriously and would like to apologize for any discomfort caused by the room conditions and cleanliness. This summer, we experienced an exceptional heatwave, and while it is common for temperatures to rise during the summer on the Côte d'Azur, this year was particularly intense. We are truly sorry that your daughter did not receive a fan, as we typically provide one per room to ensure a more comfortable stay. We will review why this didn’t happen in her case to avoid any such issue in the future. Regarding cleanliness, we want to assure you that our bathrooms are cleaned three times a day. We will make sure to reinforce our cleaning protocols to maintain the highest standards of hygiene. We truly value your feedback. Please feel free to contact us directly, and we will be more than happy to assist you further. Best regards, The team at Centre International d’Antibes

First Timer to CIA

My 9 y/o spent 1 week in Antibes this past summer and thoroughly enjoyed himself. He especially liked the evening activities. His French improved and he feels more confident speaking French upon returning home to the US. He is excited about returning next year.

As a parent of a teenager attending.

As a parent of a teenager attending the Centre International d'Antibes I have been thoroughly impressed by the high standards of care and education provided by this institution. From the moment we enrolled our child, the school's dedication to creating a secure, engaging, and enriching environment has been evident. As a parent, it is reassuring to know that our child is in a safe and structured environment. This statement is supported and proven by the adequately prompt assistance provided to our child in a case of sudden sickness. The school's commitment to the safety and well-being of its students is clear in every interaction, from the secure check-in and check-out procedures to the constant supervision provided throughout the day and night. The campus my child has been in, is fenced and access is regulated. Communication between the school and parents is exemplary in either the enrolling process or during our child stay at the school. Upon our child sickness case, we not only got a prompt phone call but we even received an unsolicited, but very appreciated follow-up email on our child health conditions including the doctors and drug store bills. One important aspect to mention is the rule enforcement. The school maintains a balanced approach to rule enforcement. The staff is firm but fair, ensuring that all students understand and adhere to the rules while maintaining a positive and respectful atmosphere. Very appreciated is the closed-dormitory rule in daylight allowing the student to diverge their focus on out of the room activities. This approach fosters a sense of responsibility and discipline among the students. When rules are broken, the school has a balanced system of reducing-enlarging permissions which helps the students appreciate the importance of following them. One of the highlights of the CIA is the plethora of after-school activities available. The school also organizes regular trips and events, which are always a hit with the students. We have no problems in definitely recommending the CIA.

Bonjour, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your stay at the Centre International d'Antibes. We are delighted to hear that your daughter enjoyed the diversity of encounters and the overall experience. However, we are sorry to learn that the accommodation and meals did not meet your expectations. Our rooms are indeed designed to offer a simple and functional environment, in compliance with safety and comfort standards set by the state, as we use facilities owned by the French Ministry of Education. We understand that this style may not suit everyone, and we appreciate this type of feedback to help us improve our offerings. Regarding the food, we place great importance on the quality of the meals we provide. We sincerely regret that your daughter felt the need to eat outside the facilities. We will share your comments with our catering team to assess how we can improve our services and better meet the expectations of our students. We are pleased that, despite these points, your daughter was able to enjoy her stay and the friendships she made. Your feedback is valuable to us as we continue to strive for improvement, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back under better circumstances. Best regards,
