Honestly, it's such a shame for DistroKid; years ago they used to be so good, but now they don't even deserve a single star."

Delete all music & dissappeared $ 3000

I had been using DistroKid for a large AI music catalog. Without any prior warning, approximately 4,000 tracks were removed from streaming platforms. At the same time, around $3,000 USD in accumulated royalties disappeared from my account. When I contacted support, I received only a generic explanation stating that the releases had been rejected due to "editorial discretion." No specific release, policy violation, or evidence was provided, despite multiple requests for clarification. As a paying customer, I expected greater transparency, especially considering the scale of the removal and the financial impact. Independent artists invest significant time and money into building their catalogs. Losing thousands of releases and substantial royalties without a clear explanation is extremely disappointing. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend DistroKid to creators who need predictable distribution, transparent communication, and reliable long-term support.

Ignored by customer support for 6 months while my 'Releases' page remains broken (Ticket #3770781)

I pay DistroKid a subscription fee to distribute my music to streaming services. Due to an error on their end, unrelated songs were placed on my official YouTube music page. Despite contacting DistroKid customer support repeatedly over the past six months and providing detailed metadata to ask them to fix this simple error, they have offered no help and are now ignoring my support tickets.

DistroKid removed my entire 52-song catalogue without notice

DistroKid removed my entire catalogue of 52 original songs from streaming platforms without any prior warning or clear explanation. I had distributed these songs through DistroKid over approximately seven months. Only a few days before I discovered the removals, I upgraded my membership and DistroKid accepted the payment without notifying me that my account or catalogue was restricted or at risk. When I contacted support, I was told only that the streaming platforms had requested the removals and that I should use another distributor because I could no longer upload my music through DistroKid. However, they did not explain which platforms requested the removals, what policy I had allegedly violated, why all 52 songs were affected, or whether I had any right to appeal. I replied asking for a detailed explanation and a refund, but I have not received a meaningful response. Removing an artist’s entire catalogue without advance notice, a specific reason, supporting information, or an appeal process causes serious financial and professional harm. I am requesting a complete written explanation, a fair review of the decision, and a refund of my recent membership upgrade if DistroKid will no longer provide the service I paid for.
