Avoid it at any cost. It might work for short period of time but if any of your user will open dispute for more then 2-3 payments then you will get auto banned and support will not help you with that.
My team had issues integrating payment into a tool we wanted launch. Most providers rejected us because of where we're based. However, that was no issue with Dodo Payments. Both verification and integration with our software have been seamless so far. First payout came in two weeks exactly as expected, and they've responded to everything we wanted to know more about. The tool is frankly underrated and, based on my experience, I would absolutely recommend it to anyone
The worst company the still keep hold of my money I had to ask my customers to request refunds because they do not allow you to refund your customers if they close your account, and now they refuse to give me my money back. I will not trust this service at ALL here to save you the headeack
Hi, We take these concerns seriously and would like to clarify the facts. We terminated your account in January after identifying clear violations of our Merchant Acceptance Policy. During our review, we found that your business was actively selling IPTV subscriptions offering access to more than 50,000 live TV channels and on-demand content. We also determined that you were using an additional website to sell IPTV services that you did not disclose during onboarding. IPTV services of this nature fall under our prohibited business categories and are not eligible for processing on our platform. Our compliance review identified these policy violations after onboarding. As a regulated Merchant of Record, we must enforce our policies consistently and cannot make exceptions where merchants engage in prohibited activities or fail to disclose relevant business information. We do not make decisions arbitrarily or unfairly. We made our decision only after a thorough compliance review and in accordance with our published policies, which we apply consistently to all merchants. Team Dodo Payments
Using their app is super easy, and got that done in just 1 day. Got my first payment, so really happy with them as of now.
Hi, Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We're thrilled to hear that you found the setup process quick and easy and that you've already received your first payment. Your support means a lot to us, and we're excited to be part of your journey. If you ever need any assistance or have questions along the way, we're always here to help. Wishing you continued success with your business! Team Dodo Payments
My account was approved by you and allowed to process payments. It was your responsibility to review my business and determine from the beginning like major platforms whether I was eligible to use your platform or no, as I was never informed about your terms. but Instead, you approved my account, allowed me to operate normally, and let me continue until I accumulated around USD 1,000 in sales. Then, exactly at payout time, you permanently suspended my account, disabled the refund option for my customers, and took the funds. This raises serious concerns about fraud practices, as it severely impacts a merchant's cash flow. You retained the entire balance as if it were pure profit, without considering the operational costs, supplier payments, and losses incurred while fulfilling customer orders. This situation makes absolutely no sense. What potential risk could still exist after 120 days ?? with zero disputes, zero chargebacks, zero refunds, and zero customer complaints? If there had been a genuine concern, you could have extended the reserve period or refunded all of my customers directly. But instead, after making me wait four months, you decided to permanently retain the entire balance based on a vague "potential risk." You have provided no evidence, no customer claims, no financial losses, and no clear explanation that would justify confiscating my funds. I have repeatedly attempted to resolve this matter through email, but my messages continue to be ignored. I remain willing to settle this issue amicably and professionally. However if no reasonable resolution is provided, I will have no alternative but to escalate the matter by submitting formal complaints to the appropriate consumer protection and fraud authorities in the United States and India, contacting my embassy, and publicly sharing my experience with relevant business communities and merchant networks. I sincerely hope you will reconsider your position and return the funds that rightfully belong to me. Thanks
I was just like many of you, reading reviews about this platform and seeing people call them scammers. I decided to try them anyway, and now I wish I had listened to those warnings. My account was suspended exactly when it was time for payout. They even disabled the option to issue refunds to customers, which made it feel like they wanted complete control over the funds. Around $1,000 of my hard-earned money was placed on hold for 120 days. I was clearly told that the funds would be released as long as there were no refunds, chargebacks, or disputes during that period. I maintained a completely clean record for the entire 120 days. Not a single refund. Not a single dispute. Not a single chargeback. Then, after making me wait four months, Dodo informed me that the holding period had ended. Instead of releasing my money, they permanently retained the entire balance due to "potential risk." What potential risk? There were absolutely no issues on the account during the entire review period. If there was a genuine risk, why was I told the funds would be eligible for release after 120 days? This is really misleading, unfair, and completely unreasonable. At the very least, if there truly was some concern, they could have extended the holding period or refunded all my customers directly. Taking the funds like that is really unneccaptable. Even major payment processors such as Stripe and PayPal generally release held funds once the review period passes without disputes or chargebacks. Based on my experience, Please don't even try JUST RUN, DON'T LOOK BACK
Hi, This review is misleading and deliberately obscures serious compliance violations. Your account was terminated for selling IPTV-related services — explicitly prohibited under our Merchant Acceptance Policy and Terms of Service. This is not a grey area, and the termination was based on a thorough compliance review, not an arbitrary decision. The 120-day reserve period is standard industry practice for accounts terminated due to prohibited activity. It exists to cover disputes, chargebacks, and compliance exposure that can arise after termination — not as a countdown to automatic payout. The claim that your record was "completely clean" does not override the underlying compliance violation that led to termination. A clean dispute history does not make prohibited activity permissible. On the comparison to Stripe and PayPal — different processors operate under different risk frameworks. That does not change our obligations or the facts of your case. Dodo Payments does not facilitate, support, or encourage prohibited activities on its platform. These standards exist to protect our merchants, customers, and the integrity of the platform. Verification took more time My form was submitted last week and the verification took more than what i expected. Eventually got approved.
Hi, Thank you for your patience and glad to have you onboard! Our verification process involves thorough compliance and identity checks - this is by design to ensure every business on our platform meets regulatory and card network standards, which ultimately protects all merchants. We're continuously working to make this faster without compromising on rigor. Looking forward to supporting your business. Team Dodo Payments
Not compatible I am a freelancer who is signed up to receive payments for my client but they dont support this. Will definitely recommend this platform if you want to monetise your AI or SaaS products.
Hi, Dodo Payments is specifically designed for digital products, SaaS, and AI-native businesses where transactions are recurring and product-based. Freelance and manual service payments have a fundamentally different risk, compliance, and dispute profile — which means they fall outside our current Merchant Acceptance Policy. We'd rather be transparent about this upfront than onboard businesses we can't fully support within our compliance framework. That said, we're continuously evolving the platform and expanding our supported use cases. We appreciate the honest feedback and the kind words about Dodo for SaaS and AI products - that's exactly who we're built for right now. Team Dodo Payments
I expect Paypal The Paypal payment method is currently not supported. When are you planning to add it? Most of my customers prefer paying with Paypal.
Hi, PayPal is on our roadmap and we're actively working towards adding it. In the meantime, we support a wide range of payment methods including cards, UPI, Pix, and local payment methods across 200+ countries - ensuring your customers have multiple reliable ways to pay. We'll keep you posted as we roll out new payment methods. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out at [email protected]. Team Dodo Payments
The worst experience ever, I tried to migrate from Stripe to them, but with the first payment it got failed and they already deduct the amount from the client, and trying to reach the support and no one answer me, horrible support for such platform. migrating back to Stripe, not recommending this service for any one wants serious business.
Hi Mohamed, When a payment fails after authorization, the charged amount is automatically reversed to the customer. This is standard across all payment processors and not a deduction we retain. We also work with multiple payment processors, which makes our payment success rates more reliable than a single payment integration. Please write to us at [email protected] with your transaction details and we'll look into this directly. Team Dodo Payments
There is a slight delay. I feel the analytics dashboard has some kind of latency as it is not showing the revenue in real time.
Hi, Thanks for flagging this - and great news, this has since been fixed! The analytics dashboard now reflects revenue in real time. We take dashboard accuracy seriously because we know merchants rely on it to make quick decisions about their business. Real-time visibility into revenue, transaction volume, and trends is something we've been actively investing in, and feedback like yours helps us catch and prioritize issues faster. If you notice any further delays or anything else feels off, reach out at [email protected] and we'll look into it immediately. Team Dodo Payments
Everything is great! Support is sometimes slow, but i think that they are improving. Payout is always on time and fees are quite low.
Hi, Thank you for the kind words - this genuinely means a lot to us! Reliable, on-time payouts are something we've built our infrastructure around, so we're glad that's been a consistent experience for you. On fees - as a Merchant of Record handling payments, tax, compliance, and fraud management end to end, we work hard to keep pricing competitive while delivering a full-stack solution. On support - you're right that we've been improving, and we're not stopping there. We're actively expanding our support team and building out faster escalation workflows so response times continue to come down. Your patience while we've been scaling has been appreciated. If you ever need anything, we're always here at [email protected]. Team Dodo Payments
Not justified for merchant like me. I migrated from an another payment provider and the whole transfer was very frictionless but its a request can you guys please reduce the transaction fees a bit.
Hi, Really glad the migration was frictionless - that's exactly the experience we aim for! On transaction fees - we hear you, and it's a fair ask. Our pricing reflects the full scope of what Dodo Payments covers as a Merchant of Record: payment processing, subscription and recurring billing, global tax calculation and remittance, fraud management, chargeback coverage, and compliance across every market you sell in. Compared to a standard payment solution, you're getting a significantly broader set of services built in - no separate tax software, no compliance overhead, no chargeback management tools to stitch together. That said, we're continuously working on pricing as we scale, and merchant feedback directly shapes those decisions. If you'd like to discuss your specific situation or volume, reach out at [email protected]. Team Dodo Payments
Very disappointed Nobody is responding on support
Hi, Slow support responses are not the experience we want for any merchant - we hear you. Please write to us at [email protected] with your account details and we'll prioritize your case. Team Dodo Payments
Overall the product is reallly good but the docs were difficult to understand since i am not a developer.
Hi, Glad the product is working well for you! Non-technical documentation is something we're actively improving — feedback like yours helps us prioritize that. In the meantime, our support team is happy to walk you through anything at [email protected]. Team Dodo Payments
My account was fully approved and verified (Product, Identity, Bank), and Live Mode was enabled by their team. Customer payments were collected successfully, then the account was suspended before my first payout and funds were held for 120 days. Despite repeated requests, I was not given a clear policy clause or a proper explanation. My public Discord escalation message was also deleted by their team. This felt like a poor and unfair process for an approved merchant.
Hi, Account approval does not guarantee indefinite access - compliance reviews are ongoing, and action can be taken at any point if issues are identified. When this happens, merchants are informed and provided with the relevant details before or at the time of any restriction. The 120-day hold is standard industry practice across payment platforms to account for dispute and chargeback exposure. On the Discord message - we moderate our community channels in line with our community guidelines. We're not able to address specifics without account details. Please write to us at [email protected] and we'll review your case. Team Dodo Payments
Great tech as far as integration into the codebase, but no respect or consideration for their customers. By default they turn on automatic dispute resolution without even telling you about it and you automatically lose every dispute even if they're unsubstantiated. If you use this payment provider, make sure to TURN OFF VISA RDR, or you will be swindled by fake customers.
Hi there, We appreciate the feedback and are glad the integration experience worked well for you. On Visa RDR - it's enabled by default and documented in our dispute management documentation. It auto-resolves qualifying low-value disputes before they escalate into formal chargebacks, which reduces fees and overhead for most merchants. It doesn't mean you automatically lose every dispute. We're working on making these settings more prominent during onboarding so merchants can configure them upfront. Team Dodo Payments
They review our website, let us operate for one week, and then block us without any warning. The money gets locked for 120 days, and they don’t even guarantee they’ll release it afterward. It’s crazy, especially considering you work with Stripe and, according to them, our product is valid tbh
Hi there, This review omits the actual reason for termination. Your account was not blocked without cause. Our compliance review identified serious violations including use of copyrighted content and adult/pornographic listings - categories prohibited under our policies and card-network rules. An official termination notice was sent on May 21st before further restrictions were applied. The 120-day hold is standard industry practice for accounts terminated due to prohibited activity. It exists to cover disputes, chargebacks, and compliance exposure - not to arbitrarily withhold funds. On Stripe: different processors have different review timelines and enforcement thresholds. Initial approval elsewhere does not override our compliance obligations. Team Dodo Payments
Always not responding, very late replies, and a lot of customers complaining already
Hi there, We hear you — slow support responses are not the experience we aim to provide. We're actively expanding our support capacity and improving response workflows to ensure merchants get timely, clear communication. Please write to us at [email protected] with your account details and we'll prioritize your case. Team Dodo Payments
