I think the company was wise to hire Cal. He showed compassion and love for Cassie. I was so blessed to have him train Cassie. Cassie was hard to deal with and now shs is doing great. Cassie got to the point that she grew to love and respect Cal. He is awesome with dogs I would highly recommend Cal.
I sent out 4 month old rescue puppy to puppy boot camp with Tressie. We were so worried and anxious about not having her with us. It was the absolute best decision ever. Daily videos and constant correspondence with us and my 11 year old grandson whom we got the dog for. When Nala returned her house manners were amazing and Tressie went over all that we needed to do to ensure her continued learning. I have not yet followed thru with the additional training but can’t imagine it being anything but a positive journey to her learning. The staff from minute one answered every question and made sure I was comfortable with my decision. I can’t recommend this program enough, my son is looking to get a new puppy and was amazed at how well behaved Nala was and said he would send his next dog there.
I was really hopeful about sending my dog to Dog Wise Academy, but unfortunately I was disappointed with the results. Before he went, he already knew several basic commands and had a good foundation. When he came home, it honestly felt like he had forgotten much of what he already knew. I expected him to come back with improved skills and confidence, not seeming like he had taken a step backward. Every dog is different, and I understand training isn’t a magic fix, but based on my experience, I don’t feel the program delivered the progress I was hoping for. I wish there had been more focus on maintaining the training my dog already had while building on it.
I searched for some time to find a trainer that would meet my needs and help to achieve my expectations. I came upon Dogwise and had a conversation with them in which they explained to me what would be done to train my dog Scout who is a Rottweiler. I looked at the reviews. I sent my dog to Dogwise for a 3 week of Board and train. I was pleased with the progress as they kept me up to date though out. Ava was the trainer they designated to train Scout. Ava is fantastic. Personally, the trainer does a good job and then you have Ava. Her personality added to the training by not only working with him Ava's training technique is quite unique and effective. I've had all my dogs over the more than 20 years trained. I'll be having my future dogs trained at dog wise and have them work with Ava. If you're looking for a great trainer Dogwise delivers.
We were having some difficulty with our dog. I wanted a board and train close to our home. I didn't want our dog far away. I was connected with Amanda. We did a board and train with her for a month. She took the time to talk to me prior to the board and train as I had a concern about him ingesting things that he shouldn't since there was history of him doing that. She was very understanding. There was great communication. She sent videos so that we could see his progress. There's been significant changes for the better which has made it much easier to walk him. He is listening much better. I'm very thankful with all the guidance and support from Amanda. Oliver's doing great.
My dog didnt really learn anything, behavior is still the same
We sent our 6 month old for a 3 week ‘boot camp’ experience. The only thing she seemed to have learned was ‘here’. Then we only had 1 follow up. Weather deterred the next 2 sessions. However the trainer did not call or text to reschedule. It’s now been 6 1/2 months since she came back. The trainer finally contacted us but only after I emailed the owner. The trainer promised to call the next day. That was weeks ago. No call. Owner apologized but still no communication. The other issue was that the assigned our puppy to a trainer who lived in another state. Feeling duped and ripped off.
Rina Sullivan is a phenomenal dog trainer, truly gifted. She was able to hone-in - maybe a better way to say it is 'connect' to my smart but stubborn german shepherd. As a result, I have developed confidence and calmness when walking him and now life is truly smooth sailing. Thanks so much, Rina, for your help with Bear!!
Njoud is an incredible trainer. Her techniques and approach have worked very well with our very energetic boxer puppy.

I found Dogwise online, with several others. After speaking with all three, I chose Dogwise because they only used positive training. I with spoke with Alma, a patient young man who paired me up the Njoud. Njoud turned out to be a Dog Trainer Extraoidnaire! I have known her for several months now. Njoud is a credentialed trainer with 15+ years experience.She only believes in positive reinforcement and all her students love her! Njoud also works with pet owners one-on-one… We humans need the most training! Njoud has an amazingly ability to tell me what my mischievous dog is thinking and steers me to make a positive correction. My pup is now a well trained dog that I’m proud to walk down the streèt, in a store, or at the dog park. Thanks Njoud!
The whole experience from beginning to end was first clas! Great customer service from everyone I spoke with to the trainer Joseph! He transformed my pup to a well obedient bundle of joy we can’t thank everyone we had met through the process enough!
Big thanks to Joseph for his hard work over the last 3 weeks! Our dog came home with better manners and a solid understanding of 'Place' 'Down’ and ‘Heel’ and reinforcing ‘sit’ ‘come’ ‘break’. Joseph was especially great with the e-collar training, ensuring our dog felt confident and safe. We know we have a lot of work ahead of us to keep the momentum going, but the start Joseph gave us was exactly what we needed! He definitely will care for any dog he trains, he was always looking out and keeping our dog safe.

I want to make sure it's easy to sort for the trainer I was matched with on here - his name was Joseph (Bay Area) and holy heck he completely changed my dog for the better. I was so nervous to leave him for so long and given my dog's bite history, I was really nervous that he'd never get better after trying multiple training methodologies and trainers. Joseph was the first person to get my dog to build confidence, learn obedience, and learn to make better choices. HIGHLY recommend him and Dogwise. I got photos and videos throughout the process, I could message questions, and see his progress. He was super gentle in terms of earning my dog's trust first, desensitizing him to the training tools so he had good associations with them, and just wow my dog has done a 180. Super happy I did this process and stoked for my dog to have a new life.
The experience I had with Dogwise cannot be matched. The CEO of the company, Sean, personally followed through with my dog and our unique case. Between emails, texts, and phone calls, he is absolutely devoted to every single dog that comes through this Academy. I can’t recommend Sean and his team, specifically Trainer Amanda enough!!
I sent my one‑year‑old chihuahua, Toby, to Dogwise Academy’s three‑week “intensive” doggie bootcamp. It was a very expensive program, and at his age, he should have been a sponge for learning. Unfortunately, the entire experience was a huge disappointment. When Toby came home, he hadn’t learned a single new command. The only thing he could do was sit—and I taught him that myself before he ever went away. He didn’t learn how to lay down, stay, come when called, heel, walk without pulling, or stop barking at other dogs and people. For a program that promises comprehensive training, there was absolutely no progress in any area. This ended up being a complete waste of money. I truly regret not reading the one‑star reviews before choosing this company, because my experience matched them exactly. If you’re considering Dogwise Academy, I strongly recommend doing thorough research and carefully reviewing the negative reviews. I wish I had.
Dog Wise Academy and Olivia have truly been life-changing for us. We sent our female Belgian Malinois, Athena, to Olivia’s 5-week program, and it was an absolute game changer. A little backstory—Athena was a COVID puppy, so she didn’t get the proper early socialization she needed, especially with other dogs. On top of that, being a Belgian Malinois, she has very unique needs. Her prey drive is incredibly high, and so was her anxiety. Walks used to be stressful—she would react to every noise, person, or animal. Even getting her into the car felt like wrestling a bear. After training with Olivia, it honestly felt like we got a whole new dog back. Athena still has some anxiety and that natural Malinois prey drive, but now I have the tools and confidence to manage both effectively. We now go on daily walks—often twice a day. I’ve taken her to large parks and on short hikes, and she’s been amazing. I’m even planning to take her on a multi-day camping and hiking trip—something I never would have imagined before her training. The biggest difference is that Olivia didn’t just train my dog—she trained me too. She gave me the knowledge and tools to continue working with Athena at home, and Athena has taken to it like a fish to water. It’s such a great feeling to have a smart, engaged, and obedient dog to enjoy life with. I can’t thank Olivia enough for everything she’s done. I highly recommend Olivia and DogWise Academy!
Cannot say enough positive things about Theresa from around the Atlanta, Ga area. She was very communicative, compassionate, and did such a wonderful job with our dog. She shaped him into the best version of himself. He is happier, less anxious, and listens beautifully now. Highly recommend working with her!
Exceptional experience with Njoud Aghabi, her patience and passion for dog training is truly commendable. I sent my stubborn and very energetic 5 months old Belgian malinois/German shepherd puppy to the train and board obedience program. During the initial pickup, Njoud discussed the training that my dog Charlie would get during the program. And I got constant updates, pictures, and videos from her to keep me informed on how my puppy is doing and the progress with the training. I can see Charlie in the videos very happy and enjoying himself while on her care. She was very informative and demonstrated the proper ways to train my dog and which queue to use for every command in the videos. When Charlie was brought back home, she stayed and made sure that I would be able to apply the training that my dog received and will listen to my commands before she leaves. I was really amazed the change I saw in Charlie. I know for sure that he misses his trainer. I definitely would recommend Dogwise and Njoud, and if I have to do it all over again, I will definitely choose them.
