What people say

I have been using Expat Invest over…

I have been using Expat Invest over the past 2 years. I started by investing a bit of money in Dec 2022, and added more as I thought there were opportunities for a turn around in the Chinese stock market. I do still hold a small percentage of my initial investment and I may increase it in the future. I decided to sell off around 80% of my investment in Oct 2024 because I want to restructure my portfolio. Ironically, I do believe the Chinese stock market is going to recover from now on over the next 2 or 3 years. I can confirm I got all the money back in around a couple of week. Investing through Expat Invest allows you to benefit from the Chinese tax incentives on stocks. This platform is definitely not for trading, but for long term investing.

expatinvest investment opportunity as an expat

I came across expatinvest while researching on the investment options in china as an expat and the entire onboarding process was very smooth. The team is very supportive and answer any questions I had during the process. Thank you expatinvest team and all the very best!

A Way to Invest in Chinese Shares and Bonds

As an expat in China I looked for ways invest my earnings locally. Some investment consultants introduced basic concepts such as financial fitness, which included having an emergency fund as well as retirement and health insurance , but their solutions were in US Dollars. I also became aware of the benefits of regular saving and what an index fund actually is. I came across Expat Invest through a WeChat Financial Jobs group and got to know the two founders, and found them to be available to my queries. I liked the RMB denominated funds and English language interface. You have to be aware that your investments track sectors of the Chinese Share Market and bonds, (or sectors of other markets) and returns won't always be as predictable as term investments - but this is a way to have exposure to the potential returns.
