Follow-up from my order
Follow-up from my order when I forgot to add the get one to the buy one, and Kevin contacted me to let me know. Fantastic customer service.
Great Service
Nice products. Very fast shipping.
Good line but leaky
Pen makes a beautiful line but is very leaky. When asked, I was told that was a compromise that was necessary for flow. I have many pens with great flow that don't leak, so not a great answer. I won't be buying more

I'm sorry to hear you are disappointed by the reply. I suspect you don't have any other pens that are able to produce and sustain the amount of flex this pen is able to produce. You purchased a pen that is tuned to maximize the flex capacity of the nib. The drawback is that it will leave ink in the cap if bumped around as you have described.

My purchase initially was not quite right because there was an item missing. I emailed FPR and they responded right away and got the item right out to me. Every time I make a purchase from FPR I am very satisfied with the quality of the items and the customer service. I highly recommend them. They will take care of you.
Love the ultra flex nib
Love the ultra flex nib, can’t wait to use my new pens (I already have the Himalaya v2 with the ultra flex nib—took it traveling, did not leak at all!)

The package arrived quickly. FPR is so great to reply to questions or problems. The whole experience feels very personal.
FPR pens write beautifully, but...
FPR pens write beautifully. This purchase makes my 11th FPR pen. My three star rating relates to the fit and finish of this pen and two previous FPR pens. They look a bit tired -- or even used; like someone had left them in a tool box for a few weeks resulting in micro scratches (and larger) over much of the surface. A wobbly finial here, a rough edge there make the overall appearance disappointing. Having seen several Indian factories in person, I can say that their employees are good folks who work crazy-hard at their jobs, but the environment is often messy, gritty and careless of order and tidiness -- thus yielding shopworn products. You're a fine writer, Kevin, and I will buy more FPR's I'm sure; but could you maybe get the word back to the manufacturers that we stylogeeks are hoping for more QC in our pens? Thank you and best of luck.

I ordered the Retro 51 pen as a wedding anniversary gift for my husband who is an avid pen collector. The pen arrived quickly and securely. When he opened it, we were both pleased with the beautiful brushed nickel barrel. It's light weight and writes beautifully. Perfect gift for my man!
Pen is small, less flexy with smaller nib. Still liking it.
The one I bought was rather small, and what I did not like was the EF ultra flex nib is alot smaller than the ones I bought for my other fountain pens. I didn't even realize this one uses a small nib and unlike the ones I bought, the nib was really small and not very flexy than the larger ones I got. bought for my other pens, the Himalayan one that I love; it has the larger nib and very nice flex. I am noticing though, that the more I draw with it over a few days, the flex is getting better, so no major complaints. I use fountain pens for drawing cartoons.....
