The excellent customer service from day 1 is everything to me. All the debt I came in with has been negotiated to a reasonable with one of my accounts already paid off. Was about what you would expect up until the last week. Agent I spoke with was very combative with me and told me I couldn't make changes I requested with my dedicated account. I was told my payments would continue even after my final debt was paid and I would have to call back in later to cancel the next months draft. Ended up having to remove my bank account and even that was an issue. I'm the end, I got mailed a check for remaining funds in my account because there was no longer an account tied to the program to direct deposit back to. Got charged a $3 check fee as a result... left a sour taste as a result. I do not consider myself a graduate from the program... I respond with I withdrew and do not recommend. FDR, for reference refer to phone call on 7/22/26 around 5:02pm central time. Update - was called on 8/6/26 by FDR and the rep could not resolve my concerns. Her solution was to give me $100 refund to resolve it on their end. I refused because I never asked for money that was not mine. Only money I would accept would be the $3 check fee that should never of been charged to me. She was also unable to correct their records to reflect my withdrawing from the program. Lowering review to 1 star as a result.

When I joined Freedom Debt Relief, I didn' expect to still be contacted by creditors. I thought Freedome Debt Relief contacted them and said they were handling the account, and that would be the end of it. I was mistaken. I got calls all the time from the creditors for the first few months, even after I told them I was with Freedome Debt Relief when they called. It was very uncomfortable. I think it would be a great idea for Freedome to contact them and tell them they took over the account, and make it clear to contact them in the future and not the former client, that it was out of their hands. Eventually, the calls stopped, but I would still get mail saying they were trying to collect, etc. and then I emailed those letters to Freedom. They eventually stopped, and then I started getting letters from the companies they sold the debt to, trying to collect. I then had to tell them to call Freedom, and emailed THOSE letters to Freedom. They eventually stopped. After a couple of years of my payments being on time, I got an offer from another company that they would take over my account from Freedom, and they would pay off the remaining debts and my credit score did shoot up. Now I pay them instead of Freedom, like paying off the loan of the lump sume they used to pay off the creditors. So no more creditors, just the new company to pay them for the loan. I can't wait to get this all behind me.
Hi Donna, We understand how frustrating creditor communication can be, and unfortunately, it is a standard part of the process. Because you are the account holder, creditors will continue to send you correspondence even after you have notified them of your program enrollment. We are glad to hear you are no longer receiving those communications and that you’ve found an option to help pay off your debt faster.

Ervin was helpful and so patient with me. I wasn’t sure if this was the right way to go but he walked me through the whole process and made me very comfortable. I love the “dashboard “. It gives me all the information I need about my account. If there are any changes or anything new about my account I just click on notifications and everything I need to know is right there.

My experience Freedom Debt Relief although I am just starting has been very pleasant. My Debt Consultant was very nice and went through the steps and explained everything without pressuring me. Only negative is trying to get a hold of her. Hard to get past Press 1 or 2 or 3 and leave a message. Overall, so far everything is great.
