I booked a flight 6E 2145 traveling from Mumbai to Chandigarh on 6th July. But due to flooding roads were washed away even Pune Mumbai road was closed. Government had also issued warning/advisory. I was coming from Chinchwad which is situated between Lonawala and Pune . So I wasn't able to reach the airport and not even able to reach the highway from my society. The airline senior staff called me and told full refund will be issued. But till today not a single Rupee refund.
Your staff Gerald Muratwill made our days very well . At check in counter 12 today 11 am we came in for check in today to fly back to Kuala Lumpur. He attended us very well n polite response to all our questions. We encourage to have more people like Gerald at check in counter . Good job Gerald n keep it up.
Staff name Gerald at check in counter 12 @ time 11am on 29/7/2026 provided a pretty well service, information and guide to the guess/costumer
I am travelling from Bangeluru to Malaysia, and very much worried how will be my check in. So I went to check in at counter 12 and was attended by staff name Gérard murawil he was so calm and very polite talked to me and explained all also answers to all my questions. With this type of stuff, I would said great to Indigo. Pls convey my thank you to this stuff. He is a very good example 👏 👍
Our experience with IndiGo was very disappointing from start to finish. First of all, we encountered major problems with the online check-in. We were travelling as a group of five. Although all five passengers were checked in, only four were assigned seats. We were unable to make any changes unless we paid extra. We contacted customer support twice. The first representative was unable to help us, while the second simply told us to check in at the airport. Because we had to complete the check-in at the airport, we missed the 18-hour deadline to pre-select our complimentary meal for our 9-hour flight. As a result, we were told we would not receive the free meal we were entitled to. When we explained that this was caused by the airline's own check-in issues and the lack of support, we were told that we should have contacted customer service earlier—even though we had already done so twice and nobody had been able to assist us. The onboard service was equally disappointing. The cabin crew did not appear friendly or engaged. Drinks were never proactively offered, and when we requested one, we were told someone would come back to us. That never happened, and we were simply ignored. Overall, the service leaves a lot to be desired. I cannot recommend flying with IndiGo based on this experience. The only positive thing I can say is that they got us safely from point A to point B... thankfully.
If I could give no stars I would. Avoid this airline like the plague! We flew Manchester, Mumbai and Goa and return. At every step of the way it was awful. Left Manchester late so we missed our Mumbai connection (leave at least 5 hrs if changing in Mumbai from the UK as you need to collect baggage and go through long queues). Th eplane was smelly from the get go, on an 11 hr flight only 2 troley runs and no sugar available for tea or coffee. The food was dreadful and inedible. We arrived 7 hrs late to Goa. For over 7 months I've been trying to get the £1,040 compensation due and still fighting for it all. If you value your sanity at all NEVER EVER go longhaul with this airline or book through Flysharp in the UK who have been just as bad.
Yesterday we travelled from Singapore to Chennai flight at 4.40 am 6E 1002 , When entering so smelly , toilets was so dirty , very in hygiene flight . Is any house keeping done , before boarding??? , we traveling in indigo for more than 8 years , yesterday was the worst one. Management need to look in to it.
The basic aspect of customer service is absent from the staff, specifically the check in staff as well as the staff at gate. They have zero courtesy and customer service skills. Our experience from Kolkata to Dhaka flight was horrible, specifically the check in process (people cutting lines, long que with inefficient check in time as well as staff being very slow/ no appreciation or understanding of customers needs etc). Also, when we were waiting at the gate, no announcement was made on which zone is boarding and zero decency on serving clients with proper information. I am not satisfied with the service at all. Our flight was delayed 1.5 hours and there was no communication from staff, I had to proactively reach out to service desk. Same experience on the way back from Dhaka to Kolkata, except the check in process was very smooth and efficient.
Very bad airline I have seen in my life. Hate on Indigo
As with most airlines, the ticket costs are very untransparent, with additional extras being added during the process. Please could just one airline make these clear up front. I have never been charged £24 for making payment by a Visa bank card before- the other options being Apple Pay (which I don't have) and Bank transfer, which didn't seem to be available for any banks
Worst Airline Experience EVER!! Traveling from DED to Pune with layover in Ahmedabad. Weather delay in flight so we are rerouted to Indore for 2 hours. I ask to get off the plane as there is a direct flight to Pune at 10:10 pm the captain lies to me and says there is no flight. I pull it up on my phone and show him. The pilot lies to me again and says it is fully booked when it is clearly visible to book on from if him. We eventually fly to Ahmedabad to find out my flight is rebooked in 16 hours. They give you 0 food credit 0 hotel credit and tell you to hang out for 16 hours. I book a hotel arrive to hotel that is paid for to find out foreigners are not allowed to stay. I walk 30 minutes in rain to next hotel b cuz there are no taxis. Hotel fully booked. 7 other hotels fully booked. I books premium hotel almost more than my flight bcuz the other hotels fully booked are all booked or don’t accept foreigners. By far the very WORST AIRLINE HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCE in my life! I would never recommend this airline after this experience.
My experience has been absolutely unacceptable. I was waiting for my connecting flight, but the gate closed without any announcements, notifications on the departure screens, or any visible signs to inform passengers. As a result, I missed my flight through no fault of my own. I then had to purchase another ticket for the following day, only to be told once again that the gate had already closed. I have now been stranded at the airport for three days in a foreign country, with no food, no assistance, no support, and no guidance from the airline or airport staff. I cannot believe how poor the customer service has been. Being left in extreme heat, exhausted, stressed, and completely unsupported has been a terrible experience. I am still waiting to board, but after everything I have been through, I am seriously losing the will to continue dealing with this situation. I would not wish this experience on anyone. Passengers deserve clear communication, proper assistance, and basic care when things go wrong. This has been one of the worst travel experiences I have ever had, and I sincerely hope no one else has to endure what I have been through.
Avoid at all costs, we took a domestic flight in India and it ran 60 minutes behind schedule without any explanation. Ground check in staff is horrible, poorly trained and try to fleece passengers when they come across international travellers. Right from check in to landing everything feels cheap and untrustworthy including people.
Over all it’s not a pleasant experience!!! Starting from customer service to landing!!!!!! Flight delayed!!! Why you don’t prefer your airlines for better experience for your customers? Very poor. Staffs not smiling.
Worst customer service. Not giving proper food
I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to a group of exceptional IndiGo team members at Mumbai Airport who turned a distressing travel experience into a success. After missing my first flight due to severe weather and encountering significant issues during my second attempt because of general customer service inefficiencies, these individuals went above and beyond to ensure I reached my third flight safely. My sincere thanks to Mr. Shanin Fernandes (Manager, Terminal 2) and Shruti (Assistant, Terminal 1) for their leadership and coordination; Mr. Ovals Sheikh (Supervisor) and Mr. Adil Shaikh for their professional intervention and support; and the wheelchair assistance team — Mr. Vipin Prajapati, Anil Mishra, Gaurishanker Gond, Sandeep Kumar, Arif Khan, and Sanjay Kumar — whose dedication and care were truly exemplary. While my broader customer service experience was disappointing, these team members represent the very best of hospitality. Thank you all for your empathy, professionalism, and extraordinary assistance.
Today, we traveled from Varanasi to Hyderabad on IndiGo flight 6E 504, and then from Hyderabad to Tiruchirappalli on 6E 2073. Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience with IndiGo. From inside the aircraft, we could clearly see the ground staff handling passengers’ luggage. They were throwing the baggage around carelessly, lifting and tossing it onto the conveyor belts without any concern. We even recorded a video showing how roughly the luggage was being handled. This kind of treatment does not give customers any confidence that their belongings are being cared for properly. We witnessed it with our own eyes, and I have the video as evidence. I am prepared to share it publicly if necessary. In my opinion, IndiGo’s baggage handling is extremely unprofessional. It seems that customer property is not treated with any care or respect. Even the flight itself felt unusually rough during landing and taxiing. When we collected our luggage at Tiruchirappalli Airport, we found that our suitcase had been damaged. The zipper had been completely pulled away from the body of the suitcase, making it unusable. We reported the damage to an IndiGo staff member named Praveen, but we did not receive a satisfactory response. This is the second time this has happened to us with IndiGo. Last year, when we traveled to Kuala Lumpur, our suitcase wheels were completely broken during the journey. We filed a claim, but we received neither compensation nor a replacement suitcase. We felt that our complaint was simply ignored. Now, once again, we are facing the same situation. We have photographs of the damaged suitcase, and I will upload them as evidence. The damage is clearly visible and cannot simply be dismissed as a zipper issue. We have not yet opened the suitcase. Only after opening it will we know whether any items inside have been damaged or are missing. After seeing the way the baggage was handled, it is difficult to have confidence that our belongings were treated safely. Based on our repeated experiences, I cannot recommend IndiGo to anyone. Offering low fares does not justify careless handling of passengers’ luggage or poor customer service. Passengers deserve respect, proper baggage handling, and fair compensation when damage occurs. I sincerely hope IndiGo improves its baggage handling procedures and customer support so that other passengers do not have to go through the same experience we have had. They are now saying that they will provide me with a voucher instead of proper compensation. However, this voucher can only be used to purchase another IndiGo ticket, which means the money ultimately goes back to IndiGo. That is not genuine compensation. The damaged suitcase is worth approximately €60, but they are offering only ₹500, and even that is in the form of a voucher instead of cash. This is completely unfair and unacceptable. In my opinion, misleading customers in this way and offering such inadequate compensation is unethical. Treating passengers—especially international travelers—in this manner creates a very poor impression. Customers deserve fair compensation for damaged property, not vouchers that force them to spend more money with the same airline. I sincerely hope IndiGo reviews its customer service policies and starts treating its passengers with the fairness, respect, and professionalism they deserve.
Terrible service at Patna airport, they checked in my luggage and after that a stupid employee asked started measuring my cabin bag, it was over by a kg. My checking bag had 5kg of weight left and they let it go and made me late for my flight for 1kg extra, such stupid people!!
