I started using the app and was happy to originally pay the subscription fee which gave me usage for 5 months. I found the app and information helpful. However, in June (subscription due to expire in August) I cancelled both the meal plan and the fertility plan as it is very expensive ($342 AUD) and I couldn’t afford to renew it because I needed to focus my money into preparing for my first baby. I received confirmation on the app that it was cancelled and I could still access my plans up until the last day.
To my horror, I was charged for a further renewal subscription for another 5 months (which I have no idea how, as I had already cancelled). Immediately after being charged, I checked my subscription which was now showing active!! I cancelled yet again, and contacted customer service raising a refund request for both plans. I received a very automated sounding email back saying that they cannot refund subscription renewal charges and that it “looks like I’ve had great use out of the app”. My issue was never with the app itself, it was that I had already cancelled well in advance, but somehow this didn’t stick and I was charged renewal.
I responded to customer services regarding my situation and have not heard back, nor been met with any empathy. I’m so angry and disappointed in the lack of accountability - I feel I have literally been robbed of my money.
To also find reviews on here that are similar to my situation angers me even more, as it seems to be a common problem/practice for Gyna. I’m very unhappy with the service and have requested a case escalation, which based on the current communication, I am totally not confident with.
Be very careful if signing up for a subscription with Gyna. Even if you cancel, make sure to CHECK IT AGAIN because clearly, you can’t rely on it going through the first time.
Since posting this review, Gyna responded very quickly to resolve the matter. There seemed to be a glitch in the cancellation system, and I have now been fully refunded for the unexpected renewal charges. I am
Grateful for client service contacting me straight away to fix the issue, but I’m unsure if I would have received the same follow up had I not posted a one star review. The app content was fantastic, and I will strongly consider reactivating my subscription when I can afford the charges, but I would still be wary of any time you are trying to cancel. I do hope Gyna fixes the cancellation flow and makes it much more user friendly.

Hi Alicia - Mary here from Gyna.
You filed two refund requests and both came back with a template that talked about your app usage. That was our policy at the time and it was the wrong one — how much of the app someone has used is not a reason to keep money they're asking us to return. We've dropped it, and both of your 1 August charges have now been refunded in full. Card refunds take 5-10 business days to appear.
A Gyna subscription can be cancelled at any time from gyna.co/billing , and cancelling stops billing at the end of the paid term. If you'd like to go through what happened on your account in June, email me at [email protected] — that reaches me directly rather than the support queue.
You shouldn't have had to file twice and then chase us. I'm sorry that you did.

Gyna gives me a lot of useful…
Gyna gives me a lot of useful information that’s needed for my pregnancy journey. Wish that other women will have chance to learn from Gyna. Recommended
I am grateful for I got the help I needed. But I am worried if I got correctly understanding information, because earlier I thought my problem was solved, but it appeared that I understood everything I needed not everything correctly.

Gyna: great app, terrible customer service!
I genuinely like the Gyna app itself. The design is clean, the concept is great, and it seems like a helpful tool. That's the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1.
Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, I never really got the change to use it. After receiving a medical diagnosis indicating that my chances of becoming pregnant are extremely low, using the app was no longer a priority. In December 2025, I cancelled my subscription through the app, exactly as instructed.
The problem is that the app provided no confirmation of the cancellation, and at the time I didn't think to take a screenshot as proof.
Then, in June, I was shocked to discover that €155 had been charged to my account for another six-month subscription. I immediately contacted customer support, explaining that I had cancelled my subscription months earlier. Instead of investigating or showing any understanding, they simply refused to help.
As a result, I am now stuck paying €155 for a subscription I genuinely believed had already been cancelled. That feels incredibly unfair and has completely destroyed my trust in the company. I feel misled and taken advantage of.
Ironically, after this experience, I have now taken a screenshof of my current cancellation, because I no longer trust the cancellation process to work without proof. Customers should never have to do this.
So, while the app itself deserves praise, the subscription management and customer service absolutely do not. My advice to everyone is simple: if you cancel you subscription, take screenshots and keep them. Without proof, you may find yourself in het same frustrating situation as I do.

Hi Ginger — Mary here, customer support at Gyna. You've been refunded back to your Visa on July 30 2026, arriving within 5–10 business days.
The June renewal — the one you didn't expect — is refunded in full, with no conditions and no proof required from you. We've also refunded your original payment from November as a goodwill gesture, even though that one covered the plan you signed up for. You don't need to do anything for either.
I'm sorry for how this was handled when you first got in touch. You raised it in good faith and were turned away, and that was the wrong answer. Our policy now is to refund a disputed charge and investigate afterwards, rather than asking the customer to prove their case first.
On cancelling itself, so anyone reading this knows what to expect: it takes about 30 seconds in the app under Billing, and it confirms twice — on screen immediately, and by email within minutes. Your June cancellation went through exactly that way, which is the confirmation you screenshotted.
I'd still like to understand what happened in December. I'm emailing you now the complete activity record for your account so you can see what registered on our side and when. If something failed for you, that record is how we'll find it — please reply to it.

Awesome client experience
The company is extremely prompt dealing with my queries and resolving my issues for me. They even took in my feedback provided, which was really much appreciated.
The Gyna advice is quick and simple to understand which makes it easy to make tweaks to adopt the fertility diet and make other positive changes. Also really impressed with the customer service. I had a minor billing issue and Emilia responded in less than a day and resolved it there and then.
I recommend. The information in the app is good. I never tried the recipes but they sounded lovely. The best part is the supportive Facebook group who encouraged me to give up gluten and once I did I realised I had an intolerance to it. Its a supportive space. As my treatment has now stopped I asked for a refund on a payment taken a few days before and there were no questions asked. Really good and clear customer service. All in all a great experience despite the unsuccessful end with a pregnancy as the clinic stopped my treatment.
Info is great, just not sure it accounts for specific situations like Endometriosis for example. I would like to have nutrition information with a fertility and endometriosis focus.
I am learning so many valuable information that I didn't know before. Following the guidelines have made the scale go down tremendously in such a short time. A lot of effort goes in to providing women with the knowledge and tools they need - not to mention hope! I'm really impressed by Gyna Fertility.

Gyna puts people first
Gyna puts people first. Emilia and the Gyna team assisted me with the most empathy and understanding with some confusion experienced on the site. Very grateful to have found an organisation that truly cares. Thank you - this small gesture has made a great impact and I look forward to the learnings of this great program.

It is very straight forward
It is very straight forward, worded simply and easy to understand
I’ve really enjoyed finding out about the endocrine system and how I can support my fertility with my nutrition. I’d recommend this app for anyone trying to conceive past 35
AVOID!! Charged me for 4 months despite cancelling! Over £400 for NOTHING! A lot of money for not much and horrendous customer service. Takes advantage of vulnerable people.
