We recently purchased HawaiiTours.com and have tried to make changes that guests mention in their reviews, including spots they would like to see on tour, but the palace is not easy to do tours through. We don't currently run a tour to the palace because it's very controlled with regard to tours, (meaning, we need to give them a 4 week lead time for special permission to bring guests through in groups of 10 or more, which is prohibitive to us being able to book guests last minute). That's why we try to leave enough time at the end of the tour to let you snap some photos in front of it - so that you can decide if you want to contact us to help you arrange transportation and then you can take a self-guided tour there at a later date. This is why we have the end portion of the Half-day Pearl Harbor tour as a sampler of downtown Oahu instead of offering a full tour of the palace. Frankly, we'd LOVE to be able to run tours through the ONLY palace in the US! So, if you are so inclined, please feel free to email them and request that they loosen their group tour rules so that we can run one. (An email from a guest has a lot more influence than we do!). I looked at your account and saw that you started booking your vacation back in September, 2025. We bought HawaiiTours.com on Dec. 18th, 2025, and unfortunately, the former owners honored some, but not all of the bookings made prior to the sale date above. Although we're not legally obligated to honor any bookings made prior to the sale date, we have been honoring as many bookings as possible and helping guests rebook along the way. Clearly some of the providers were not properly coordinated and that was likely due to the former owners either not making the bookings properly, or not at all. It's SO relaxing, yet you feel like you've seen a part of the island that nobody else gets to see unless they really work for it! Plus a free facial!! LOL! We've taken our entire family on this (several times) and they always want to do it again. Now, every time we're on Kauai, it's one of our first things we do, (because it decompresses you and gets you on to island time), so it's understandable that you fell in love with the tour. And yes, they have got some a-mazing guides who do both the tubing and the driving on the plantation. It's such a cool way to spend a day! The artistic reflecting pool and the different plants are so interesting. Bottom line is, the kids and adults truly have a great time.
