This was a terrible experience I will never use again or recommend. Our first therapist, was uncommunicative, defensive, and only had my child watch videos without providing context, help in understanding, or help in processing through what she was feeling. I asked to have those videos shared with me and no one ever did. When I asked for a supervisor or manager it took almost 2 weeks to hear back. That person did nothing but offer platitudes. Our second therapist, while pleasant, did nothing to help our child. It was the world's biggest waste of time and I am question if it is ethical to operate this way.
I have no idea what was going on just that someone was working with my child no updates were provided and no clue as to goals accomplished. There is no difference in my childs behavior

Hi Shelly,
We truly appreciate your feedback and are committed to providing the best patient care. Due to federal regulations and Hazel policy, we’re unable to address issues online, but please give us a call at 1-800-764-2935. Thank you.
When my daughter started therapy, she was very anxious. She will talk about so many things at the same time, and out of nowhere, she will start to feel a panic attack. Three months later, I can assure you that we can see a big difference at home. She learned how to cope and how to express her emotions in a calm way. She can handle her panic attacks before she even starts having one. We are very happy with the care she received from Hazel Health. And her therapist was amazing.
I didn't know how badly my daughter needed a 3rd party's help because of the Evergreen shooting and just being a freshman and a person. This was such a good step for her to experience in a known time of need and to learn that she has the tools to handle future times of need and day to day.
Terrible follow through. Now my daughter won’t see a therapist. We went through three counselors before finding one and at the end of our 8th session, we never heard from anyone again until now. Very disappointing.
I think bringing counseling services to the schools is great for the kids who need it.. my child Mari was struggling at the time and even though this isn't something long term, the services were helpful in identifying her needs and guiding us in the right direction.
Overall, experience did not seem to be conducive to child's management of presenting symptoms. I understand this therapy is a short term course but the kid really did not learn anything, use skills, or acknowledge/process deeper emotions. Sessions consisted of watching videos. There was no challenging of how to deal with negative thoughts. I did not observe much practice of skills. Practitioner was paid for essentially letting videos do the work. Further, there were some sessions that were 15 minutes or less and insurance was billed the same amount. How does that work? Also the school district was to cover these sessions but money was taken from our personal insurance's HealthFund. Im so confused about why, as we were told there would be no cost to us.
Working with Ms Erika was an exceptional experience because the activities/tools she discussed with my grandson Kaydence Hadley he would use the tools at home. I love how she interacted with him asking him to show her how he plays the video games. This would allow her to see him when he gets upset which allows her to tell him what he should do to get himself back focused.
My grandson gain some inside knowledge about himself through the sessions. He feel more secure about his well being and would like to continue future sessions if available. Keep up the good work because great mental health is what we all need including our fellow Americans who make the laws at the executive level. God bless
Jennifer with Hazel Health was great with our son it made a difference to have him be able to speak to someone openly, since talking to your parents or even family isn't always what they need. His behavior has really changed, and he is doing better with relationships at school. He has really learned to walk away and not hold onto toxic friends.

Gratitude for Hazel Health
I am so grateful for my son’s experience with Hazel Health. He had a wonderful therapist, Kuan, who was so patient, kind, compassionate, understanding, and helpful. She made therapy fun, and my son actually looked forward to his sessions with her. He has gained new tools and skills that will help him in life. He uses these new tools and skills frequently and can communicate with us much easier now. I highly recommend using Hazel Health if your child is struggling.
